i suggest to scrap this scheme completely la

Government no face mah.
I think a simple solution is to put a recycle bin for bottle along side the bins and don't charge. Simple solution but not 100%, but much better than this coercive approach.

If the government is so concerned about the environment, can the government stop those useless advert mailer that comes to my house. I simply throw away cause it waste my time to read it.
How many tree are cut down for these mailer ?

My suggestion: Create scheme for this. Create a portal that advertiser have to register with and all household will automatically register with. When sending mailers through Singpost, they have to pay Singpost 10cents for every mailer (increased postage). Then the money will be credited to the household.

What the household needs to do: Verify himself onetime: Sign in to the portal and using Singpass verify his address and provide a Paynow account.

From then on, every mailer, the sender needs to pay the household 10cents and the household will get 10cents.

This will discourage useless mailers that people don't bother to read. And it's much simpler than the BCRS, cause there is:

- no machines
- no taking up of space for the machines
- no electricity required (other than a main server to host the app)
- no extra work for people

Let's do away with these environmentally ruining mailers.

They probably need a company to do the accounts
Cos a lot of money pumped in from companies and money goes to consumers
And money come in from supermarkets

And they either think they don't want civil servants to do it or civil servants don't want to do it

"We agree that the scheme should be assessed based on its environmental outcomes and the experience on the ground."

Sho Sg temperature drop by how many degrees?
Semakau landfill filled deadline pushed bach by how many years?

Agree but then go on to ignore any lack of outcomes ish BS.

Yah loh. All these rubbish go green measures and yet one thick haze blow by the wind and SG become one of the most polluted counties.
( Top 10 as of 9 Oct 2026 Source: https://www.iqair.com/sg/newsroom/singapore-among-top-10-most-polluted-cities-in-the-world-10-9-2026 )

Today I saw the news that Trump and Putin strike a deal for Russia to supply diesel to US to calm down angry voters before the mid term elections.

Just like NEA can excuse F1 for the BCRS, Trump is showing the world that all these economic sanctions, can be compromised as well, when personal interests are at stake.

All these go green initiatives are all just BS.

Possible:
1) Keep kpkb :s13:
2) Ask NEA for BCRS review
Issue after issue they should do review
3) Ask NEA how different is SG BCRS compare with UK.
Like what I did which NEA don't dare to reply back. :s13:
Copy and paste, UK currently haven't kick in fully.
Cuz UK Gov expect retailers to register and print the label before 2027.
SG wise only give 6 months, some retailers like Tian Ma their stocks rather empty.
4) NEA should realize the impact not only environment.
Business and consumer side as well as.
Like higher production cost, consumer need to pay extra 10 cents etc.

If got notice on the BCRS machine like below, means what ah? out of order? I thought out of order, the machine itself has a warning sign?
