you are just argue for the sake of arguing instead of contributing anything constructive. every such beverage plastics cup i come across has the same type of plastics type label and is recyclable. just use some common sense and analytical skill. it does not make economical sense to use a different kind of plastics for factory. lol


Recyclable (OK for Blue Bins if clean):

• Type 1 (PET): Drink bottles, fruit boxes, plastic egg trays, clear food containers.
• Type 2 (HDPE): Shampoo, soap, and detergent bottles, milk cartons.
• Type 4 (LDPE): Clean plastic bags, ziplock bags, and bubble wrap.
• Type 5 (PP): Takeaway food containers and bubble tea cups (if washed free of grease). [1, 2, 3, 4]

Plastic recycling is a scam to produce more virgin plastic. Only a few types of plastic is actually recycled as they are profitable. The rest are just rubbish even if technically recycable. They still go through the recycling system to be incinerated or end up in landfill.

In brcs case, it is only targeting PET plastic.

So far I see only type 1 and many type 5 plastics being used for those take away beverage plastics cup. they are recyclable.

BRCS say they non profit but cfm bs.

BCRS claim that they depend on the unreturned bottle to cover the operating cost of the machine and collection... so it mean if the recycle rate is high enough ... say 99% .. or up to a certain threshold they will be making losses.

Then i foresee the 3 major manufacturers who formed BCRS will definitely up their drink price to cover the losses from BCRS operation. Nothing is foc in sg .. its the consumers who tank it.

Assuming 1 month 33 mil and given that 1 billion is thrown out a year, return rate is now about 39.6%
