I saw another Karen
OK i know someone will defend karen haha

She took her bottles All individually wrapped in those free supermarket plastic bags
And throw in machine
So her bare hands won't touch DIRTY bottles

And she's such a germaphobe she then used her elbow to touch the machine

I don't think its her own bottles cos afraid of own germs?

I mean if she's so hygenic , don't dumpster dive!

I mean i saw her around
Didn't know she's nuts

So, if go hawker centre find, probably still can find some lying around as those who drink outside one, especially those who dress nice with places to go to after that, hard to imagine they carry an empty drink container around. So they will probably throw bah.

The easiest way for sellers is to charge 10 cents
I mentioned here some coffeeshops won't charge but they'll get back the cans etc

As for hawker centres i will think the cans at return rack is domain of cleaners and maybe drink stalls too.
I see cans arranged neatly deep in rack or placed in boxes next to rack.
I won't touch those
If anyone steals those , cleaners will probably freak out

If anyone wants to raid the hawker centers they can wait for diners and ask for their cans. Not a good way and will piss off the cleaners I'm sure

Or can always ask the cleaners etc for the cans
I'm sure they'll be displeased cos easily $5 plus in their pockets daily
Why? Give to those beggars?

piang eh, this one defeats the purpose of recycling. Plus if those are her own bottles, yet she feels they are too dirty to touch? wtf she did with them at home?

Like you can tell if the material is confirmed recyclable or not, let it be so labeled before you can draw the conclusion.

Just see what is the underneath label . not difficult to confirm. I just checked one liho plastics cup, they have plastics type label and is recyclable type. the earlier cup looks to be the same type as liho plastics cup.

Non-Recyclable Plastic Bottles

- Type 3 (PVC), Type 6 (PS), and Type 7 (Other): Bottles or specialized containers made from PVC, polystyrene, polycarbonate, or miscellaneous mixed resins are generally not accepted in standard recycling streams.

Plastic recycling is a scam to produce more virgin plastic. Only a few types of plastic is actually recycled as they are profitable. The rest are just rubbish even if technically recycable. They still go through the recycling system to be incinerated or end up in landfill.

In brcs case, it is only targeting PET plastic.

There are milk and some drink bottles that are made out of HDPE aka "no. 2 plastic" which is also under BCRS. So not really 100% right to say BCRS targets only PET.

Methinks best don't think too much about trash, just like our elites
