Sarpork, the food containers are more destructive to the environment than drink containers

I believe the German Pfand system is imposed on those food stall containers too. You stand and eat near the stall, then return the containers to them and they refund you the 1 to 5 eurs or something. But don't think it's feasible to impose it on takeaway containers.

Just make any type of reusable container BCRS.

From amazon cardboard boxes to individual paper cups to baby milk tins.

Otherwise cannot foreign investors to SG and our economy will tank.

last friday was out at a restuarant and witnessed this dino lady who was having dinner with her family beside us. after they finished and left, she came while a minute to ask the staff where the finished empty can of drink that she ordered. staff informed her already cleared away and into trash bin, she replied she paid for the can that has got BCRS and argued, either they return her the can or they pay her 10ct back. staff went dig trash and gave her back her can.

i tell you, this is just the start. :s22:
I wouldn't even let them clear it away to begin with.

If they let me pick it out myself, I would check for other discarded containers in there. :D

I don't why the supermarket near my place chose to place the BCRS machine inside their premise, right next to shelfs with products. It's freaking disgusting with flies constantly circling around the machine and foul smell emitting out from it.

No way I am going to do any grocery shopping in this supermarket.

This prepayment of 10c is causing a lot of problems. Consumers shouldn't be prepaying to get back the 10c. Consumers should be rewarded 5c or 10c for putting in effort to bring the can and bottle to the machine.

Mainly yes. It's a grand cocktail of all kinds of beverages.

And not to mention, people constantly walking in with bags of containers probably picked from bins and unwashed to recycle. Really very unhygienic arrangement for a supermarket operation. They need to move the machine to outside like most do.

Not only stupid, it drive cost up as well as retailers like Tian Ma their stock very empty.
Think local factories can't print enough by than or worse Deepavali stocks of beverages will be very dry. :s22:
