Refund got problem then got ticket then may need like 30business days to get back the 10 cents... very good to laugh

If we buy drinks like from China (kangshifu or what) still will kanna this?

Where all the 10cents go to which pocket if no one claim back and/or those cannot successfully claimed?

Why only drinks and not all other plastic containers like cookies n other food or what?

If got need to refund I won't buy if can avoid... but now they print like not obvious...

Just scrapped away the silly and nonsense scheme.

I myself actually pickup few bottles of 'Life' bottle drinks (water chestnuts, chin chao drinks) but at Fairprice payment kiosk displayed $0.10 charges, decided not to buy and not pay for those bottles as not going to do silly thing and tell the Fairprice staff to return those bottles back.

Instead I choose to buy 2 x Yeo's 6 packet drinks for any of my home guests. Finished and dump. Cannot expect guests to give me $0.10 refund .

Will never buy anything with $0.10 bcrs nonsense scheme !!

So far I return 7 bottles all ok leh.. not all bottle got charged extra 10 cents.. you need to look out for the labels...

For me is too troublesome and I buying for my home guests and myself. Rather drink finished and dump than think of all the refund nonsense ?

Packet drinks and non $0.10 bcrs bottles are my choice nowadays ? Sometimes buy Malaysia bottle coke sold at Value$ shop, half priced and no $0.10 bcrs too.

Everything is like designed to suck money out of my pocket these days. Now go out buy stuff, need to pay for plastic bags, GST has risen twice, now an extra ten cents per can (meaning $2.40 more for a carton of drinks). It’s not worth my while to go return them either. It’s really just a tax at this point.

Sorry I will never support this kind of stupid thing in the name of recycling and sustainability. Simi save the environment things are just bs in this country. It's more about money.

If really save environment, why do u need to manufacture such a machine which is using electricity 24 hours? What's the payback, breakeven? How much carbon footprint liao?

If really for sustainability, why chop forest to make way for bto? Is building and demolition sustainable? Are these good for the environment or pollute the environment?

If I want to throw it in the recycle bin why would I walk all the way to a BCRS machine? Scam my 10 cent.

A message on the machine said: “We’re sorry, barcode is unreadable or damaged. Return this to any recycling bin near you. Remove and insert another container, or tap REFUND”.

Stick the correct barcode on any bottle, and you'll get your 10ct

Imo this is worse than the 5c plastic bag, simplygo, new IU, and much worse than tray return.

From September all drinks sold in Singapore are to be returned via this
So these versions manufactured overseas can't be returned now but should be able to be returned from September onwards

You misinterpret

It means that shop can't charge extra 10 cents now
But when their new stock is in from September they can charge extra 10 cents and you can get back that 10 cents by returning bottle
