Introduce this bottle tax. Rich people can afford to buy drinks and throw away, don't even bother to go machine claim refund.
Seeing many low income ppl benefit from this, bring large bags of recyclables to the machine and earn the cash.
Is this a form of wealth redistribution?
Yes it can be considered a form of wealth redistribution. More correctly it is a transfer mechanism rooted in manipulation of human behavior.

Errrrr 10c considered wealth..........?
Yes. Because it is legal tender. Bear in mind that there isn’t technically a cap on the wealth transferred as long as those who seek it see fit to spend their time on its accumulation.

It’s a form of waste tax payer money to justify someone promotion and bonus :(

Wealth transfer can be easily done via tax relief and cdc :(

No. $0.10 is purely for recycling purpose.

Consumers can keep the bottles and recycle themselves. It's a choice. If majority leave th recycling to the poorer folks, you can call it a charitable cause. It's up to the consumers, not the intention of the government.

In a way yes. But don't give them any ideas, since in a way it's decently successful, perhaps later next time they make you work for your cdc vouchers too.
