If only I know how to build my own PC... Can save a lot :(

Btw can check out Reddit's r/buildapcsales for other good deals!

Bro, it's easy to learn and build your own PC, instructions are super easy to follow.

I will say that picking out the right parts are much harder than putting together the parts themselves haha.

think I'll slowly buy my parts off Amazon to make a new rig.
thinking between the 600 and 400 Corsair case

yea... think maybe air coolers less hassle

Best thing about buying from Amazon or newegg and not being in a hurry is you can monitor the prices everyday and using camelcamelcamel and other similar price monitoring tools, you can just hoot when prices hit the bottom.

cancelled my H110i in the end (my FT01 won't fit... and haven't really found a new case I really want, thinking of 600/400/FT05 oh well) but if I don't overclock also not much point huh (just want low temps and quiet)
- I like how roomy the 600 is... and the thermals seem much better?
- if get 400/600 would probably opt for the silent variant

managed to get 650 still (will change out my Seasonic M12II ->)

edit: if you don't mind sharing, what's your breakdown of your Amazon hoot

Breakdown? based on 1.34. Based on PC Theme prices

Corsair 400c - $96.99 USD ~ $130 SGD (Shipping waived) PC Theme $159 - Save $29 SGD
i5 6600K - $219.99 USD ~ $295 SGD
MSI Z170 Gaming 5 $173.99 USD ~ $234 SGD
Both is $529 SGD vs PC Theme $673 - Save $144 - CGW approx $40 = Save $104 SGD
EVGA G2 650W Gold - $69.99 USD ~ $94 SGD - PC Theme Superflower Leadex Gold $159 ~ Save $65 SGD
Corsair H110i - $89.99 USD ~ $121 SGD - PC Theme $189 - Save $68 SGD
Corsair DDR4 16GB Kit 2133mhz - $57.99 USD ~ $78 SGD - PC Theme $139 for 2400mhz (Let's say $100 for 2133Mhz - Save $22 SGD

Reuse SSD and HDD
Save around
$288 - Doubt anyone can give discount so much.
Maybe tradepac can but they always no stock.
Plus credit card points i earn + no need go SLS, carpark, petrol, time.

Only bad point is warranty need send overseas. keeping finger crossed.

Not really unless DOA. So far my experience with overseas RMA have been much more pleasant than manually going down to service center, take leave, etc... :)

Just arrange for a pickup courier. Its even faster than local RMA. Cost about the same as cab fare to and fro, sending and collecting. :s22:

that's why. cause local service centre only open weekday office hours only.

I RMA rams before, easy, send and just wait.

Shipping about 10 days or quicker. Depends on heng suay and whether it is peak period or not..

Peak is like black Friday or some crazy sale then a lot of pple hoot. Shipping may be delayed up to a month from previous experience.

Just wait for the 480. Don't buy the 970. Its a scam card with only 3.5gb of usable vram

I always split up my purchases so that I still get to enjoy free shipping (above US$120 for applicable items) but don't have to pay GST (less than S$400).

Lastly, DON'T PAY IN SGD!!

Any advice on how to choose motherboards? All I know is that I want something that has DDR4, USB 3.0 and supports overclocking (so Z170 or X99) lol.
