M47 - $2,345
RYZEN 7 9700X (Cheaper than 3D)
MSI GeForce RTX™ 5070 Ti VENTUS 3X OC 16G
MSI B650M GAMING PLUS WIFI 6E MSI B850 GAMING PLUS WIF
THERMALRIGHT PEERLESS ASSASSIN 120 SE ARGB AIR COOLER
CRUCIAL PRO DDR5 BLACK 6000MT/s 32GB(16GBx2) CL36
CRUCIAL P3 PLUS 1TB GEN4 NVMe M.2 Lexar NM790 1TB will be faster than this.
SILVERSTONE TRITON 750RX 750W GOLD ATX3.1 PCIe5 Corsair RM850E
(Will upgrade to a FD North ATX case so the case doesn't matter)

PS please respect my opinion and suggestion.
IT service center here, I build and repair PC for many different users.
I know what works and what not not anyhow.

Every builder will have their perference or choice of parts, is not prefix
to SKU.

BTW the FD North is quite big and since you are getting a MATX motherboard.
Get a different case.
Maybe something like this or change the motherboard to ATX.
I am using the Lexar NM790 myself, 2 of them in my current PC. I'd say for sequential read and write, it's pretty good for normal use. It uses SLC cache instead of DRAM + SLC. My experience when downloading games from steam you will have to pause the download if it slows down, then restart it to get max download speed again. Had to do it for each of my games, KCD2, BG3, Cyberpunk, smaller games no issue but bigger ones fill up the cache and you'd have to pause the download for it to clear the cache.

The 980 Pro, SN850X have double layer cache, DRAM + SLC so this doesn't happen. Just thought to share my experience using these Lexar SSDs myself.

I don't think your download slow down is due to SSD.

Now there is a build M47 (R7 7800x3d + 5070 ti) which seems relatively affordable compared to others being offered.
they also now offer the 7700 + 9070xt for just under 1.9k and is not labelled as preorder. even if u upgrade the ram to cl30, the 5070ti build is still $400 more expensive, which feels a bit steep. but if ur dead set on the 5070ti, sure less than $100 more over their cheapest 5070ti build for x3d should be worth it.
1) Wanted to understand how come the pricing is like that. It is almost the same price as a R7 7700 (S13), and just by changing GPU to ASUS Prime and ASUS TUF, the pricing increased by $200 each time. Is ASUS really worth the premium>?
probably not.
2) Also generally wanted to check if the parts for M47 are okay or require an upgrade? eg,
- worth changing mobo to ASUS TUF?
- Change RAM to G.Skill Flare CL30? that one is $72 upgrade - quite ex
- SSD and PSU okay?
the tuf board offers a stronger vrm and pcie5 nvme, which for $20 is not a big price to pay. then again, 78x3d sips power while gaming (so vrm is not an issue) and gen4 (sometimes gen3) nvme is good enough for most people. u also get a 2nd nvme heatsink, wifi 6e and fully usb3 rear io with the msi board.
x3d is less sensitive to ram timings compared to non x3d, though u may not notice much of an improvement with the $72 top up.
the ssd is very barebones, but gets the job done. upgrades to better ssds are quite affordable though and should be considered for longevity (ie tbw rating). the psu is fairly new and unknown, looks at least half decent though u can certainly do better when spending this much on a pc, maybe u can message them to see if they have other psu models available.

not saying to diss u, but invaderpc doesnt offer these upgrades, at least not on their website. maybe ts can inquire with them directly to check. whats worrying is that invader is no longer advertising any kind of psu upgrade on these builds, instead only offering the silverstone psu.

is 1GB usually enough? Should I go for 2GB? I think ill ask for the SN850X

If I go back to the r7 7700, then the Cl30 upgrade is recommended?

2TB also not enough nowadays :ROFLMAO:

my elder boy has a 2tb+4TB
2nd boy 1TB+2TB

just buy accordingly to what ur wallet allows ba

my boy running 7800X3d+9070XT, im running 13600kf+9070
both PC runs MH Wilds fine on highest settings with raytracing high~

personally if i dun turn on afterburner to beo the fps i also wont be able to tell the difference

only difference was the cpu temperature, my rig can hit 95deg spike at times lol
but is more of a casing and cooling issue, sff casing
casings really should get bigger ones

for a os drive 1gb is 100% enough.... but if u are looking at a gaming drive then go for at least 2gb but u can also look for cheaper gaming drive at 2tb and above...
if u go back to r7 7700 unless u are tacking numbers i dont see the need to go for the cl30

Haha I also don’t mind trying DIY. But I anyhow add up the parts from one of the price list I downloaded online, it is quite a bit more expensive to DIY though

also I don’t know how to hide all the wires so the entire system is very chio

Lastly, if got issue, I’ll be helpless haha
u got beo taobao ma?
pricings very different from local

One thing to note is that with the 7800x3d + air cooler, there's a cooling issue due to the architecture of the CPU and stacked 3d vcache, meaning that your CPU cooler will just ramp up like a jet engine when you are browsing whenever it pulls 50-60W. Compiling shaders - also jet engine. Downloading games? Believe it or not, also jet engine

Wah I’m not good enough to troubleshoot if there are any issues. Don’t dare to venture there for the key parts

if u wan cheap , u go taobao sure is high risk high return.

but if u not tech savvy. i suggest don taobao.

i so far did around 20 sets of pc all from taobao so far nv had any issue with them.

i gave up buying from locally as sometimes is like begging them for parts. the only thing i buy local is gpu due to the high cost and warranty nia. other than that dont really care.

B650M msi gaming wifi or asus prime K i think 209 219 can get locally

Nah. Might as well get b850 from TB.

Looking at b850m steel legend, it costs 1200rmb and it comes with PCIE gen 5 x16, 1 PCIE gen 5x4, 1 PCIE gen4x4 and 1 PCIE gen4x2 along with wifi 7. I think it's worth the slight premium.

Can never get that around this price in SG.
