I am using the Lexar NM790 myself, 2 of them in my current PC. I'd say for sequential read and write, it's pretty good for normal use. It uses SLC cache instead of DRAM + SLC. My experience when downloading games from steam you will have to pause the download if it slows down, then restart it to get max download speed again. Had to do it for each of my games, KCD2, BG3, Cyberpunk, smaller games no issue but bigger ones fill up the cache and you'd have to pause the download for it to clear the cache.M47 - $2,345

PS please respect my opinion and suggestion.
IT service center here, I build and repair PC for many different users.
I know what works and what not not anyhow.
Every builder will have their perference or choice of parts, is not prefix
to SKU.
BTW the FD North is quite big and since you are getting a MATX motherboard.
Get a different case.
Maybe something like this or change the motherboard to ATX.
The 980 Pro, SN850X have double layer cache, DRAM + SLC so this doesn't happen. Just thought to share my experience using these Lexar SSDs myself.
if u go find the asus one is over $450 all in (including 3% cc fee).
