Hi Guys,
I am building a budget PC Gaming for myself.
Kindly advise which one is better and the best combination (Lowest Price with the highest performance).

1. Intel i3, 4160 vs Intel i5, 4460
2. Asrock H97 Pro 4 vs Asus H97 Pro Gamer or B85 Pro Gamer
3. Corsair Vegeance Pro DDR3 (2x4GB) vs Crucial DDR3 (2x4GB)
4. Crucial BX100 120GB SSD vs Crucial MX200 250GB SSD
5. Seagate / WD / Toshiba 1TB HDD
6. Gigabyte GTX750 TI 2GB vs Sapphire R7 265 2GB or R7 360 2GB

My current existing parts:
Casing = Antec ONE - Mid tower
PSU = Seasonic 650W, 80+ Gold

If you have any other cheaper recommendation which were not mentioned above, feel free to let me know.
Your suggestion or response is greatly appreciated.

I play wc3, Might and Magic, dota 2, CS-GO, MMORPG, etc.

I forgot to mention that i used my existing monitor as well.
(Acer - quite old model monitor, i think is around 1366 x 768)

Budget is around SGD 500-800

The following will also cater for 1080p lest your monitor breaks down soon in the future and requires a replacement which will be on Full HD 1080p.

CPU+MB: Intel Core i3-4160 + ASRock H81M-HDS R2.0 @ $239
RAM: Crucial DDR3-1600 CL11 8GB @ $60 (Tradepac)
GPU: PowerColor R9-270 2GB TurboDuo OC @ $209
SSD: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB @ $129 (Lazada Singapore)
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB @ $77

Total: $714

Buy others from PC Themes, #04-15. Haggle for discounts!

Thank you MoneyFace.

Btw how about i3-4610 + Asrock H97 Pro4?
Compare with your suggestion Asrock H81-M-HDS

My casing is a mid tower, it is a bit wasted to get a Mini ATX.

But if the performance wise is better than H97, then i can consider it :D

No apparent performance difference between motherboards, only features.

It's fine installing smaller motherboard into chassis/ No point if you don't foresee yourself adding expansion cards that's going to fill up the entire motherboard slots. Once chassis panel closed you also cannot see anything.

Thank you, money face.

If anyone have other suggestion or recommendation, feel free to share.
I haven't finalized yet. There is still room for research and compare price.

If any of you happened be the shop owner / sales in Sim Lim, feel free to offer me the best price you can. I wish i don't need to buy the parts from many shops.

Hi Bro MoneyFace,

I got a lot of shops' price list to compare. All shops have quite different price.

Can you advise me on how to get the correct parts below and confirm the parts is "NEW"?
Should i get each part with the lowest price shop?
If you happened to know any shop can beat or at least can match with the lower price (for all the items below), please intro to me.

Me and a friend have a bad experience. We bought a second GPU, but the seller keep saying it was new and we don't have any proof or knowledge, so we just quietly accept it (because it was a year after purchased).

Most renowned shops like Tradepac, PC Themes, Fuwell, Cybermind, etc.. only sells 'NEW' stocks. Nevertheless there are rare, once in a blue moon cases where buyer received used/opened sets (be it accidental or intentional) from those renowned shops. So what you should do (and for everyone) is to check your products before leaving shop. It is always a good practice and everyone's responsibility to ensure that the correct model and new, good condition of purchased goods are provided. Same for anything you buy elsewhere, i.e. food, clothing, etc...

So for PC parts, you should check for any tampered marks on the seal on those products with seal sticker. Some of the parts like motherboards and graphics cards do not have any seal (as distributors need to slot in warranty card :s22:). So for motherboard, you should open the box and make sure none of the accessories are missing (package content is listed on the box). And there should be no signs of dented metal dots around the mounting holes (resulted from screwing). And also more importantly, any bent pins on the CPU socket. For graphics card, also make sure no accessories missing, check for any part chipped off (fan blade, fan shroud), missing screws on rear metal bracket and back of PCB. You should also check out the warranty sticker affixed to the front of the boxes.

So far the lowest price amongst the best service shop (s) will be PC Themes. Tradepac prices on the rise, stock availability heading towards depletion. And hearing so many bad experiences recently, it will be better for you to avoid...
