All bros,

I might go for i5-4460 and Asrock H97 pRo4.

Since I am run out of budget.
Is it all right to get Nvidia GT 520? Someone selling it cheap2 at Marketplace.
Well it was just for temporary.
( I might upgrade to GTX 960 in the next 6 months )

I noticed there is onboard gpu of Intel 4400/4600. CMIIW.
Is the onboard GPU better than GT 520?

use the benchmark as a rough guide..

initially i also choose i5-4460 + h97 chipset for my rig.. but i dont think i will use the extra feature of the mb in near feature.. so end up with h81m hds r2 as advise.
for gaming, GPU is more important than CPU+MB
if short of budget save a bit more lah bro.. before you dive in to build

Don't waste your money on GT520. Its crap, i rather use the integrated graphic to play dota 2 at low setting. Just save for anything higher than GTX750TI.

And if you are in tight budget, just get the H81 motherboard and put the remainders on graphic cards.

Are you really going to use those extra features on H97 motherboard? People always say they might use but 1 or 2 years down the road, still the same thing.

5 years later, your motherboard and processor will become obsolete, still want to add extra features on an obsolete hardware?

No point getting a discrete graphic that is not any better than integrated...

Rather you drop to i3 or Pentium even, then go for discrete GTX 950 if you are only doing gaming...

I did consider H81 before, but the maximum ram i get is 16GB. I had 16GB kit now. I will might as well add in another 2 Ram in the future. Depends on the usage.

That's why i am getting H97 and i5-4460.

Thank you all bros opinion. Then i think i should use the integrated graphic first. (PC without GPU for the while)

having more ram does not make your pc faster! 16GB is enough for most normal usage. Only people who do video editing or run vm on their machines require a sh!t ton of ram...

Being able to upgrade is one thing, but do you need that upgrade eventually? :s22::s22:

I will use it as dummy server and user at the same time for Microsoft AX.

I am not sure whether i need it in the future. That's why i am preparing for it.

According to notebookcheck... Your HD 4600 IGP is already stronger than GT 520 (which is NVS 4200M)

So the CPU without gfx is all right for me to play games like dota and dota2?
But if you are looking at Core i5-4460 + ASRock H97 Pro4 @ $420, i rather you consider Skylake Core i5-6500 + Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H @ $450. Intel HD Graphics 530 is way more powerful than HD Graphics 4600 and already hovers performance within AMD A8 and A10's R7 iGPU.

I think it's too late now.

I have bought 16GB Kit DDR3.
Skylake core annd LGA 1151 support DDR4, isn't it?
