Yes, AM5 platform is ddr5 only, you cannot reuse your ddr4

Don't mind I ask if Amazon DDR4 Corsair RAM goes bad after just 6 months? My PC has been working fine until about a month ago. Sometimes it is able to post and sometimes it doesn't. I tried troubleshooting and narrowed it down to the RAM. PC is only able to boot with two sticks of RAM and not from the other kit. It sometimes have the rgb working and sometimes it is completely dark. I have no idea which are the faulty sticks. I bought 2 packs of RAM at Amazon at the same time.

The error could be due to this. I made a mistake by buying 2 ram kits instead of 4 in 1 kit while trying to save $150. Not sure if this was the cause of the boot issue. If PC attempts to boot from DIMM 1 and 3, it will not boot. It needs to boot from DIMM 2 and 4 in order to successfully boot. So DIMM 1 and 3 is kind of obsolete because they are different kit. Hope that bros will be aware that if they wish to fill up all ram slots, they should buy the whole 4 in 1 kit otherwise it may cause boot issues like in my case.

Either I forgo 2 sticks or sell off the 4 sticks and buy a new set of 4 in 1 kit.

Today, i tried with just one stick, still no boot. Different gpu and monitor also no boot. Change hard disk also the same. Worse case scenario is motherboard problem. Just used 1.5 year, failed so fast?

Best to reinstall even if change to the same mobo. Anyway now installing window 11 is quite fast on the NVMe drive. Slower one are the apps and games. But for me, i rather start fresh anew.

Can I request for the service centre to help me flash my bios and test it on the spot?

If there is no issue, I'll just stick to the same OS and apps on the newly replaced mobo. I have lots of apps, files and games. Might need about 2 hours to reformat, reinstall everything and transfer everything from backup hard disk.
