Noted with thanks!if you play esports game, get better CPU because during teamfights the CPU will bottlebeck and cause microstutter + frame dip which will worsen your aim.
Outside of teamfight obviously no issue, but the readings during those times dont matter too.
My zen 3 really CMI when i play marvel rival during teamfight frame drop like dogshit, after change to zen 4 so smooth during 6v6, my aim never got affected by my PC anymore.
Noted with thanks!
Yeah. I'm just an SP-only 4K gamer requiring only 60-120fps offline. Guess I'll pair either the 7700 or 9700X (& save a few bucks) with the 5090. Wanted to get the B650E Aorus Master but no more stock, so will see the B850 MSI Edge before picking this or some other B850, B650E or X-series board.
If you are having a 5090, you need a 9800X3D. Other CPUs will probably bottleneck the 5090.Noted with thanks!

Monitor? 2k,4K , qd oled?Hi everyone,
I'm seeking recommendations for my new casual gaming PC build, which will also be used for video and photo editing (I'm still learning from my daughter!). My gaming preferences include a wide range of titles like RDR2, Witcher 3, F1, Total War, FIFA, Football Manager, and Warzone.
For photo and video editing, I'll be using Photoshop Lightroom, Illustrator, After Effect
I plan to place my new PC in the living room, beside the TV. Due to limited space, I've chosen the Jonsbo Z20 small MATX case. The PC will be connected to a 4K 60Hz TV.
My initial budget is $1800, but I can claim $700 from my company, increasing my budget to $2500.
Here's my current build plan:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 7700 ?
- Motherboard: MSI B650M Gaming Plus WiFi or ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi ?
- GPU: RTX 4070 Ti Super (recommendations for brands appreciated)
- CPU Cooler: Thermalright PA 120
- RAM: (need recommendations)
- Storage: 1TB & 2TB (need recommendations)
- PSU: (need recommendations)
- Case Fans: (need recommendations)
- Case: Jonsbo Z20
- OS: Windows 11 Pro
Please feel free to suggest changes or alternatives that could help me save money or improve my build.
Thank you in advance!

4070ti will be sufficient then but you dun want to just buy 5070ti if you can wait for it?4k Tv
I can wait for the new 5000 series.. but when will it be available in SG?4070ti will be sufficient then but you dun want to just buy 5070ti if you can wait for it?
end of this month 5090 and 5080 will drop first. 5070 tiagong is marchI can wait for the new 5000 series.. but when will it be available in SG?
I see. Just lets say i cannot wait until March, will 4070 ti super or 4070 ti suffice with my needs mentioned before? or maybe, i use my old GPU for the time being. And also, for the rest of the components, can i still follow the enthusiast rig or are there any other recommendations?. I mean we are in 2025 now, there might be some price changes or new products been released thats best bang for buckend of this month 5090 and 5080 will drop first. 5070 tiagong is march

sure, ryzen 9000 series isnt worth getting outside of x3d. the 7700 offers most of the performance of the 9700x for a much cheaper price.- CPU: Ryzen 7 7700 ?
just get whichever is cheaper. im not sure if the asrock board is available in sg though.- Motherboard: MSI B650M Gaming Plus WiFi or ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi ?
as iceblendedchoc mentioned, best to wait for 50 series.- GPU: RTX 4070 Ti Super (recommendations for brands appreciated)
some bros here will definitely talk about how hynix a/m die ddr5 is a musthave, but tbh if ur not into extreme memory tuning then there are some decent kits available. for optimal performance, there is the adata xpg lancer blade 6000mhz c30 kit for around $150, or if u want value there is the klevv fit 6000mhz c32 kit around $120 (both 32gb).- RAM: (need recommendations)
if performance pc at sls still offers the adata xpg core reactor 850w for $130, then that would be the value pick.- PSU: (need recommendations)
by right is feb launch for 5070 series, but chances are it will be sold out for the first few weeks after launch, so expect around march for a good chance of getting ur hands on one. u can opt for 5080 which releases earlier, though im not sure if it can comfortably fit in a 2.5k budget.I can wait for the new 5000 series.. but when will it be available in SG?
if u can wait out a few months on ur current gpu, that would be the ideal choice, since used 40 series prices are likely to drop once 50 series is available.I see. not much changes since the last update a few months ago.And also, for the rest of the components, can i still follow the enthusiast rig or are there any other recommendations?. I mean we are in 2025 now, there might be some price changes or new products been released thats best bang for buck
cpu bottlenecks are not a necessary consequence of specific hardware configurations. if u stress ur gpu hard enough (eg max out graphics settings at high resolutions), most modern cpus should be able to keep up. as shown by the video r6exr6 posted, even a relatively slow quad core like the 14100 isnt bottlenecking a 4090 any more than a 98x3d when the 4090 is doing most of the heavy lifting, the same will be true for a 5090.If you are having a 5090, you need a 9800X3D. Other CPUs will probably bottleneck the 5090
Arctic P12 for best price/airflow, Phanteks T30 if you want the absolute best performance. If price is not an issue then can just go with the lian li infinity fans, they look pretty damn good. Personally, I went with 5x Arctic P12 for my Lancool 216. If you want the cheapest rgb with decent airflow , can probably buy from thermalright on taobao, any of the C12 RGB fans will do.any recommendation for case fan? initially was looking into Lian li fan but seem like hard to configure/issue with software, hence i think maybe i should go for performance instead of rgb.
P12 noisy or not? I was thinking of the more expensive be Quiet! fans.Arctic P12 for best price/airflow, Phanteks T30 if you want the absolute best performance. In my opinion, my air cooler is the loudest (PA140). Can barely hear the rest of the case fans, but thats because the 7800x3d is hard to cool due to the 3d vcache design. My case is the Lancool 216 with 2x 160mm fans and 1x 140mm, so they dont really make any noise. If you prefer airflow and lower noise, can consider getting the P14. But IMO the P12 does not really make any noise even at full speed.P12 noisy or not? I was thinking of the more expensive be Quiet! fans.
Cool case! Did you buy the optional dust filter as well? Or were you prepared to regularly air-spray the case to remove dust?In my opinion, my air cooler is the loudest (PA140). bought it off lazada, can buy from anywhere as long as the seller is legitimate. Think i spent $18 for it, should be around that price. As for handling dust, i already have an electronic blower, will probably clean it once a year or something like that. Also running a positive pressure setup, so less dust will accumulate in the case. Although i'm thinking of switching out the PA140 for the Royal Pretor 130 Ultra when it comes out.Cool case! Did you buy the optional dust filter as well? Anyway, where to buy the dust filter?
