i am holding on to making a purchase for the pocket due to

lack of 3.5mm ( yes it was already missing in the gopro so it makes no sense to "upgrade" or change )

lack of mounting screw thread on the body...remember the osmo mobile vs the now OM2..... shows the first iteration was terrible that you had to get another accessory to mount it when they could have done some better thought process in their design

this pocket seems "blind" and and pro features are "locked" without a mobile phone attached....i dont want another osmo/osmo+

and they seemed to have released it too early before xmas to try boost their sales
when the accessories arent even out in the market....the 3.5mm adaptor...is still not even available!?

I would say the DJI Osmo Pocket is good for mobile phones that don't have expandable storage (like the iPhone). Otherwise, I would suggest getting the Osmo Mobile 2. It's much cheaper and you don't clutter yourself another gadget (Osmo Pocket) that requires the phone to adjust the camera settings.

Is there a local service centre for DJI products in Singapore? I am told that we have to send to Hong Kong for repair & service by Cathay Photo staff.

for taking videos of holiday trips, it is a gem. i've been using it since launch. so easy to carry around, so easy to use. very good video quality as well. i also brought the osmo mobile 2 with me but decided to leave it in the luggage as it is way to big and bulky to carry compared to the osmo pocket. highly recommended!

Hi hi... anyone manage to update the firmware? When I plug it to my Huawei Mate20, it does not appear any firmware update notice. :(

Returned home from travels and DJI Osmo Pocket with some accessories delivered, still waiting on for the Controller Wheel, I think that is useful tool, may get chance to use this during CNY, woohoo !!

First, paste on the skin.

DJI mimo app will indicate there is new firmware without plugging the device to the phone. to update the firmware, connect the device to the phone, and press the firmware update message displayed in the mimo app and the update will start.

Just gotten mine

Amazing piece of gadget for its size

I have a gimba for mobile phone but I don't like using it cos 1) i will be "phone-less" when shooting with gimbal plus mobile phone. 2) when filming with gimbal plus mobile, I have many incidents of calls coming in and disrupting me. 3) the mobile phone batt use up very fast (i was using smooth 4) too bulky as compared to this osmo pocket

Got to play with the Osmo Pocket a bit, I would say that the small size form factor is where the value is, with regards to comparing to older DJI Gimbals, I would say it is not as expected, does not meet my expectation.

Nonetheless, I would still use this over my other DJI Gimbal due to the small form factor alone, but if you want better footage, use the GoPro+Mount accessory with DJI Osmo Mobile or Mobile+. This GoPro Osmo Mobile combo creates better footage plus I can use Filmic Pro whereas on Osmo Pocket Mimo is the only option, Filmic Pro not supported (well hopefully soon?)
