Shucks!.... no fix for slow BT downloads with in-built bittorrent client![]()
I think its something to do with your setup and settings. DNS-323 inbuilt BT client is an agressive client. I'm getting up to max 1mbyte/s download using my Singtel 8mbps. Easily 5-6 .avi movies per night.
Asides from port forwarding on my linksys router to the ip addr of the NAS,
and using the same forwarded port on the DNS-323,
i'm not sure what other setting i need to do on both devices.
Any advise?
Hi, all,
i am thinking to get a DNS 323,
just 1 question, is DNS323 support file sharing?
example when you go to start, run, and type in \\data to access the files for network of pc??
One question on the 323 : If I am using only one HDD now in the 323 but in future I decide to add another under Raid 1, must I start afresh by formatting the old HDD or it can automatically copy all data over to the new HDD when raid 1 is activated ?
Once you insert the NEW HD, it will prompt you to reformat it and the options to select raid 0, 1 or individual.
Sorry for the noob questions. Just bought a dns-323 and set up for home network backup.
Now I have a problem with my Singtel Mio Router where I couldn't find any setting on port forwarding. Anyone can give some guides in setting up a remote access to NAS? TIA.
How to do ftp and ddns set up on Mio 2WIRE router?
I'm having the same problem with the FTP using 2700HV 2Wire modem from Singtel. I can use it for local network with 2 x 1TB harddisk and BitTorrent. Unfortunately, the FTP just couldn't work eventough I've opened up port 21 as instructed.
after installing funplug does the in-built power management offer by the nas still works or we need to install apps to perform this function?
Use another port . Both ports 80 and 21 are blocked by ISP
