Hi All,

I would like to take out my 1.5TB HDD from the DNS-323 and clone it to another new HDD using a regular PC via Acroinis software. Would I have problems ?

After the clone is done I will want to install the newly clone disk back to the NAS and use it, possible?

TIA

Cheers

I read on the net that Seagate 1.5TB 7200.11 Barracuda has a problem working with Dlink DNS-323. Some lag issue. Anyone has this problem still? I'm hoping to use that HD which I bought last year for a new purhase on an Dlink 323.

Hope to hear any feedback specific to this HD. Thanks!

fwah.
just came home, and checked that my 28gb finally finished transfering @ 1mb+/s :o

BTW, my bad. last night it was 500kb/s lol.

anyway from the manual, it was stated RAID 0 (Stripping - Best Performance)
so by using RAID 0, transfer speed would be better? im currently using Standard.

Hi all,

I have a problem here, i cant ftp with my dlink dns 323 from outside of my network. I am using 1.08 firmware. My fren is able to connect his 1.07 firmware. So the different between the 1.08 and 1.07 is the Passive mode option, and SSL/TLS (1.07 dun have this two). what setting should i choose for my passive mode option, and what is the port range. I have my default port 21 forward in my dlink router (model: dsl 2640T). anything i have miss out. pls advise.... I have a hard time trying to figure out what's went wrong.

Thanks alot.....

Using wireless will slow the speed even more. You want more speed have to get better NAS that cost more.

Hi, currently using one HDD in DNS-323. By adding another HDD of same capacity and changing to RAID1, do I need to reformat all HDDs or just the new HDD alone. Appreciate advice. TIA.
