PSA

some of you might know of my issues with my h220 x2 leaking onto my gpu previously. So I went through the whole process of rma ing the h220x2 and got a replacement last Friday. I also got a new gpu, a 1080 to replace my few months old 980ti which was water damaged. I got it even thought tech dynamic is gonna replace my 980ti.

Was watching Youtube just now when my monitor suddenly went black. I tried rebooting my com and saw through my side window the new h220x2 leaked again!

I immediately switched off my com and took out my gpu. When I unplugged it a pool of coolant dripped out of my 1080.

It is beyond salvage now... **** swiftech seriously. I have both 980ti and 1080 both water damaged. Ffs.

That's absolutely unacceptable for such a premium AIO liquid cooler. And I always thought they are pretty reputable given that they specialise in AIO liquid coolers unless some other manufacturers. Sorry to hear of this but Swiftech needs to compensate you for both the cards as well as issue a refund imo.

I know this might not be the right time but can we have a look at your AIO placement and internal of your rig... i'm curious on how and what causes it to keep leaked? its not usual that this happened twice in a row....

distro or swiftech fb?

swiftech deleted.
Distro, which is tech dynamic is extremely helpful with this issue. they offer to replace my 980ti xtreme gaming edition with a zotac 980ti amp xtreme. Even though the difference in value is quite big. The xtreme gaming edition still retails for 1200 now.

So in total i have about 2500 worth of water damaged gpus.. fml

Looks pretty normal... nothing abnormal about your placement. Seems to me either fittings not tighten properly or o-ring spoil... :o

hope this doesnt detract you from watercooling. for aio solutions, maybe can look at ek predator. my rig has been on water for 3+ years without any leaks.

I don't see any valve, fitting leaked or valve?

Swiftech is using barbs to tighten the tube around the stem, instead of the more premium compression fitting. This might be the cause of a leak.

U might wanna check if this is a H220-X2 only issue?

My H240-X2 working perfectly fine. And for this reason i suspect that was why Tech Dynamic was only keen originally to bring only the H240-X2 into local market. And that was the second batch as the pioneer batch of Swiftech X2 AIOs had issues with the PWM hub.

Maybe corsair 115i closed loop cpu cooler might be alot safer?
Anyone ever faced leakage from 115i??
or maybe 110i?
