Swiftech is using barbs to tighten the tube around the stem, instead of the more premium compression fitting. This might be the cause of a leak.

Barbs only for the normal X2 ones. The X2 Prestige ones that have Noiseblocker fans use compression fittings, but Tech Dynamic not gonna bring in to local market.

But the photo shows barbs being used to lock the tubing? TS might have gotten the model wrong though.

But in any case, He should just RMA, test for leakage with bare components and sell.

Thats wad i'm saying. Coz local market only sell the normal X2 ones. I have the normal 240-X2 with typical Swiftech Helix fans. The ones with compression fittings exist but not sold locally.

From the picture, the CPU block is using acrylic and PE/PP fitting. Are there any 'O' ring or seal at the shoulder of fitting threaded to the CPU block?

I've never encountered any leakage in my equipment using 40-50 1/4 inch quick change fittings in one setting.

yes, from what i can see there are o rings on the threaded holes on the cpu block. not sure how it leaked twice in a row on 2 different units

I just recieved one ytd and it was already leaking from a cracked reservoir while in its packaging.

My first AIO from Deepcool pump fail in the middle of the night while I'm torrenting. Caused my CPU's TIM to dry up.

2nd AIO from Swiftech, sold it off BNIB b4 I use it.

3rd AIO from EKWB, CPU block leaked but lucky it's a small leak and EKWB refunded me the whole amount.

My swiftech pump failed couples of weeks brand new and I RMA it. Took few weeks to receive a new one and meanwhile, bought a corsair. Sold the replacement and the corsair is serving me well since last year.

Questions! Did you....

1. Physically inspect all major parts for cracks?
2. Ensure all fittings are properly hand tighten?
3. Follow manufacturer's installation instructions?
4. Perform a 24-hr leak test (ideally with a spare PSU)?


I've used Swiftech waterblocks, pumps, radiators, reservoirs and fittings without major issues over the years. In fact, I still have a MCP350 running in my wife's rig.

There is a certain degree of risk when it comes to watercooling. Most leaks can be detected within the first 24 hrs so a proper leak test is always recommended to protect your investment.

The thing is AIO can be damage during transit so the same precautionary measures should be taken just like any WC loop. Sorry to hear about your bad experience with Swiftech nevertheless.

For consumers anyway. The complaint the 10% make will be drowned out by the praises of the 90%

But try doing that commercially when you have lots of systems and you're bound to hit that 10% failrate sooner or later, and see how much lost productivity an MRT failure costs, and how many people can made-in-China elevators kill.

You didn't pull on the tubing while installing right? or keep turning the swivel barb fitting too much, perhaps it might have came loose after some handling during installation..
My H320 X2 no issues with coolant leakage thus far, other than a random led controller issue which I somehow fixed.

Frankly speaking, Swiftech AIO products already so rare in local markets. I remembered chasing PC Themes and subsequently Tech Dynamic to bring in the Swiftech X2 series. Took Tech Dynamic a full 5 months to get stocks from Swiftech, partly coz Swiftech's manufacturing was rather slow to churn out the stocks, partly coz Tech Dynamic thankfully rejected bringing in Swiftech's pioneer batches of products that usually had problems. So currently Swiftech's AIO series already so scarce in local markets (only a few pieces per monthly or bi-monthly shipment), even if entire local market boycott's Swiftech's AIO products, it will only affect Tech Dynamic's handling of Swiftech's products, it will not affect Swiftech's sales or reputation at all.
