Saw my old retired teachers, singles, divorced or spouses passed away. Found 老伴for themselves. No need to worry about kids n housing. Not complains about not having too less sex or wanting sex . See them super happy. Even my uncle , age 60 n single, found a partner around his age. No need to get married just need a companion

Depends on individual ba. Some people need company.

For moi, I can be alone, but not lonely. Good if I can find a compatible companion. If not, single better.

As I get older I begin to appreciate having my wife around. It's just more meaningful to do things when someone is with you sometimes. Cannot be everytime also me time. Also need to have some social interactions.

For me is yes. Companionship is important for my mental wellbeing, and I am lucky to meet a good person. It is easy for those who found a good spouse and say that having someone for companionship is important. But not everyone is the same. Some people met the wrong person and suffered miserably. For them, better be single and alone than to suffer together
