I just did the Maths.

It seems the smaller tub of Protein one gives more value for $ per gram of protein. :D

In future, I will just buy this flavor.
I usually buy small tub. Usually sell in 2 tubs. Price $3.55

I chose the natural one instead the one indicated no added sugar but sugar content still higher. I checked liao :p

🥛 Farmers Union Greek Style

Farmers Union is actually one of the few “Greek-style” brands that does follow the authentic method — it’s strained, not thickened with additives.
They market it as “Greek style” due to labeling rules in Australia, but the process is authentic.

So your instinct is right — most “Greek-style” yogurts do have thickeners, but Farmers Union is an exception.
You might be right as I don't see any typical thickening agents on the ingredient list.

But the nutritional table just doesn't add up - the protein is about 4-5g per 100g serving, which is pretty low and closer to that of normal yogurt. Real greek yogurt (Chobani brand) is about 9-10 g protein per 100g serving, about double.

no point

and actually minimal benefits

its really overrated. evidence not strong. i can explain further.

aiya but i realized many edmwers here worship pseudomedicine and I really cant be bothered. as if theres a magical solution yet to be discovered by mainstream medicine... they are helping to raise our gdp anyway.
This one I quite agree. My father ate homemade yogurt everyday but still died of colon cancer.

But if chobani light. Should be authentic?

But the price is double
Yes Chobani is authentic. Yes price is about double. Imagine from 2 tubs of normal yogurt, you can only make 1 tub of greek yogurt, then you'll understand the price difference.

If price is an issue, my advise is just to get normal unsweetened yogurt. No point paying extra for the thickening agents in greek style yogurts. Just my opinion :)

I check between Chobani light and union farmers. 160g vs 140g. Double the price.

If lesser protein. Eat more eggs lo

I already did some calculations for Farmers Union vs Chobani.

The FU protein one gives lower $ per protein and calcium compared to other FU and Chobani.

How does the FU protein one achieve such high protein without the straining process? I think it's somehow artificially infused. In that case it's not natural.

People eat greek yogurt mostly for the natural protein, which is deemed to be better absorbed by the body. Otherwise just take whey powder can already, also cheap.
