I enjoy my retirement but also misses working for the purpose of social interaction. I guess I'm an introvert who only communicates when necessary. I've become more of a shut-in since. I did not that that aspect of losing social skills into consideration When I stopped looking for work.

Retirement has become a luxury. The prospect of working until we die is fast becoming a reality.

It's very hard for me. I've never had any real friends all my life. I interacted with classmates, camp mates, colleagues over the years but never really became friends with anyone.

I was only after I stopped schooling and working that I sorta realized I'm pretty much alone when it comes to friends.

Seriously, other than my family and my wife now, I don't talk to anyone else.

Sounds very unhealthy. Then go join activities to make friends? At least have some hobbies and interests right then join similar groups? Or no hobbies and interests?

Your wife, is she the same too?

Not really. I quite enjoy going to work and picking up new things. And getting paid along the way.
