Did a trip in gz. No problem for simba. But 3gb international roaming data not enough for me. Should upgrade my plan next time.

3gb for a few days just to keep in touch with family in Singapore shd be more than enough. If you go holiday and need so much data to watch movies might as well dun go. Stay in Singapore can watch movie

Was in guangzhou for 2 days and couldn't get any reception or gps signal on the train all the way and then after reaching almost everywhere had no signal. Where there was a signal it was crawling, like 10 minutes to load a very simple webpage.

Most places showed no signal, those that worked showed China Mobile.

Not sure if this is simba-spacific,, I had another card, a HK sosim card that was just as slow but at least it had a signal in more places.
Maybe you didn't do your phone settings correctly to do roaming?

Was in China, HK and Macau last week.

I bought a Sosim card in HK and switched it for overseas use in China, and also had a Simba card that I use in Singapore everyday.

Both cards were extremely slow in China (Guangzhou and Shenzhen). No problems using them in Macau however.

Even through anything accessed in China was slow, they seemed ok when I scanned QR codes in shops to pay, almost instant response. Also both worked when I used Didi althogh the GPS seek to find your current location was very slow (around 2 minutes before the app can locate you to call a taxi).

Also used both to pay for Metro tickets in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. In Guangzhou generally ok but slow of course, but when in Shenzhen, at a lot of MRT stations I could not get any internet access using both Simba and Sosim cards so I couldn't access alipay to pay for metro tickets. Had to put in bank notes (and the machines don't accept 1 yuan notes, only 5 yuan and up)

In future I will probably buy a China sim card direct on lazada, because I think not a good idea to rely on just one card like Simba.
How come other ppl no issue whereas you write long story abt Simba? I remember last time got ppl start threads to attack Simba say no coverage in MRT. Now this. Are you working in traffic lights company?

Depends... if few days involve taking their train for hours then more data is always good. Currently I am on simba and zym, both total about 30gb.... good for youtube or other entertainment in the train.

YouTube eat a lot of data. Must limit to one movie a day. Come edmw pwn ppl cheaper. Time pass very fast and edmw use very less data :s34:

I am using vivifi and eight. Both no issue for roaming. Sometimes you need to manually select the mobile network provider. Eg China Unicom works for vivifi but China mobile no signal, while eight had no issue with China mobile. Also depends on the region you are in.

It depend on your accommodation. The hotel we were staying, cannot access Google related services and international new websites like CNA. So had to use our roaming data. I used 6gb in 7 days during my trip in GZ.
