it looks liek quite easy to steal the doorbell as well ?

The Nest Hello if fitted well onto the holder requires a huge amount of force to rip off ( there is actually a tiny pin to unclick it easily off the holder. In any case a video would have captured the act

Sorry if I'm not clear. I'm using the original wires from the doorbell point provided by hdb.

Buy the power adaptor..end of adaptor will be 2 wire ends.

Connect the adaptor wires to the doorbell point in your kitchen.

There will be another similar end as above at your outdoor doorbell switch. Connect that end to your nest hello.

What you doing is just to supply power to the nest.

Instead of drilling a hole to connect direct from adaptor to nest hello

Power adaptor >> nest hello

You can skip the drilling by relay the power via the original doorbell wires.

Power adaptor >> original doorbell wires >> nest hello
Why some say need to change the existing cable to thicker kind, some say no need.

My HDB is built in the 90s, got the 2 white cables, is it able to convert to powered kind using the power adapter?

https://ring.com/

Very gd, u can sign up for plan where it will save all the video thru cloud and can view it later. If not u can just view it, talk to the person and end the call nothing will be save..got motion alert if got ppl walk pass. And can also get the door bell where it will chime when someone press it and also alert where there is motion trigger.

I use without the plan...

Installation is easy.

I wonder how safe it can be using Google Home to unlock the digital lock. I did a little test on Hey Google from my doorstep asking the weather with the main door closed. The Nest Hub 2 is placed inside the bedroom. And surprisingly it answers.

Does that translate that someone else could unlock my door locks as well? Did someone tested it?

For Aqara, there is a pin prompt before the action is triggered

Really like the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery), the features were easy to use and I like the fov being vertical, and the lens is pretty wide! I had it install on the left wall with a 35 degree angle mount from Amazon, I see the door front view without any issue!

Read the instructions to wire it up. I think it needs 24V

Just go to SL Tower to buy.

Hi All,

Looking to order the Eufy Video Doorbell Dual from Amazon for my BTO flat, but not sure if any major differences between the US (https://www.amazon.com/eufy-Securit...ion-Recognition/dp/B099RX62SC?ref_=ast_sto_dp) and UK (https://www.amazon.co.uk/eufy-secur...ity+Video+Doorbell+Dual+Camera,aps,206&sr=8-6) version?

Saw that manufacturer wise, UK one is Anker/China so not sure if quality difference but definitely price more expensive for UK version.. Is it better to hard wire up or use battery version, since BTO nowadays already have the door bell point set up nicely with electrical wires?

Also, does anyone have any electrician/handyman contact to share (PM, etc.) who can help to install? Since the Dual Cam version is battery but able to hard wire, was thinking of wiring up so if anyone knows any contacts who knows how to do this please reach out, thank you!

Some door bell brand has companion AC-powered wireless chimes. Can try those without running cables.

My EUFY video doorbell connects to such a wirelss chime in the kitchen through a EUFY hub. RING brand also has such setup

Oh I see, isn't this considered the wireless version? Looking for wired as i'm not keen on charging the doorbell or changing its batteries.
