I decided to go with Ring Peephole first as it can be installed with minimal change.. I will consider a wall-mounted video door bell next time.

Other than google's own nest doorbell camera, are there other options where I can see video of whoever pressed the bell on my google nest hub in my living room?
but preferably unwired but not that expensive, like around the $100~$150 range I'm a bit afraid some idiot come by the house, grab the doorbell and just walk away with it.

You can get a power plug and not use battery at all. That's what I am planning to do for my home.

Sorry to bring this up again, but have you managed to this for your new home? I've tried asking several door bell installation/electricians to no avail, everyone that I approached has declined to install and tap to a power supply.

That's extremely dumb of them?
Is yours a new or old house? New houses got bell point in the kitchen, just install a power socket beside that will be sufficient.

Don't have to tell them your purpose of doing so, just say want extra socket.

I am using eufy wired, it took me while to realise that the "door wire point" at the kitchen provided from the hdb is just wire only. It does not connect to any electrical source at all.

Since u already have the doorbell wire from the kitchen for the doorbell point outside. Just get the wired version.

My wired eufy doorbell required is 12V. So I got a step down adapter from 240v to 12v

Typical sg Kitchen power point-> step down adapter 240v->12v - > existing doorbell wire - > eufy doorbell. That all. I have been using about 10 months. So far so good.

Didn't know? I tot only when ppl press the bell then will on the camera, or when cam detect movement which I think can be turned off?

By right. Not allowed. But then I think the rule is rather stupid. Even SAF also move on with the time. They can't expect regular to carry a NON Camera smartphone. Even police also encourage car owners to use their dash cam to provide surveillance

having doorbell with cam is not because I am interested to peep at neighbour but to make sure it will defer someone from stealing my delivered item. Some couriers quite steady. They know how to hide inside my shoebox or put inside my dry riser. But there are some just dump outside my unit and that is so easy for anyone to grab and go.

My eufy doorbell camera has motion detect function. It will give me notification and only record when someone is detected. I only turn it on when no one is home to receive my delivery.

Yes. US version.

Just get a adapter for your 2 pins plug to convert into UK plug( Cost less than $2) or use multi socket adapter

Read that google will actually replace your google doorbell if it does get stolen ?

bought adaptor from MrDIY, around $3 iirc, looks like this

good snug fit compared to other cheapo adaptors
