Double clicking issue in mouse, particularly Logitech

I believe this is a common issue when the mouse registers double click even though you only click once. Previously this happens after 2-3 years of daily usage but recently problem crops up after only 6 months! Cheap/expensive mouse also the same.

Does this happen in other non-Logitech mice? Suggestions to resolve this? Watched some videos but they dont seem to work. The only one that seems to work is the static issue but after a few days, problem comes back.

im been using microsoft laser mouse 6000 for about 10+ years and still no issue with it.

probably heng suay. i have g502 and been using it for 4 years....still going strong....

kinda sad coz i wan to buy a new mouse..but there is no reason to buy

btw, what logitech mouse u using? logitech gaming mouse have 2 years warranty though. so, there shudnt be any issues

Others are G700s, MX Anywhere, cheapo bluetooth (cant remember model no) and now G603 starting to have signs.

The last, long-lasting mouse I have used was vx revolution. After this, everything seems to go downhill.

g603 have 2 years warranty afaik. since u mention the problem came out within 6 month, can contact logitech and see what can they do

Logitech claim warranty damn troublesome if you do it online. They ask so many questions, ask you try this and that. Product faulty means faulty la. Try on another computer also will be the same. Ding dong here and there then they change one for you.

I gave up sending back for RMA again. I think it has something to do with the omron switches. Time to switch loyalty to other brands. I tried Razer once when they had some driver problems. I am not sure if they have improved now.

I had to RMA 2 x Logitech MX Revolution, and Logitech MX Performance as well as a Logitech MX5000 (can't remember, damn long ago already) because of this problem.

It happens to a lot of their MX series, and I have also seen signs of it happening on my G700s right now.

Only reason I haven't changed brands yet is it usually happens after a few years, and I quite like the shape of the Logitech mice for my claw/fingertip grip.

Will not be going back to Logitech after this G700s though.

This issue happens to all mice, it really depends on luck, and also your usage style, eg. applying way too much pressure onto the mouse(happens when i clean a mouse) button does reduce its lifespan of the switch. I usually replace damaged switches by desoldering and replacing the omrons, cheap and good...

I destroy my mice when I play arpg games... Press too hard and rapidly, got worse when I age as I lose finer control on applied strength.

Within warranty, RMA. Without, dismantle and try to realign the click switch yourself.

Otherwise, buy those mouse which has very high click endurance of around 50 millions clicks or more. E.g logitech hero, razer deathadder elite, steelseries sensei...

Why do online? Bring receipt go distro straightaway exchange. Kaira replaced my G400/G402 no questions asked. 3 times.

Can try Microsoft sidewinder mouse. Used for 10 years.
Once it has double click issues but then gone.

Precisely my point. So far their mice design fits well with me. Too bad their technology can't keep up.

I am using G603 which is part of their "hero" technology. Still experiencing this issue sometimes, although not to the point of being annoying yet. Maybe will give steelseries or corsair a try next time. I am just looking for bluetooh with G700s shape. More buttons the merrier.
