Double clicking issue in mouse, particularly Logitech

I've stopped buying Logitech mice for a long time. The quality is good in the past, and in fact, I am currently still using the G1 that is more than a decade old. Despite playing games like Diablo that requires crazy amount of clicks, I am very surprised it lasted this long. Subsequent mice I got from Logitech never lasts from my experience. Some died in less than 6 months, including wireless ones that starts to have connectivity issues.

it seems G1 also use omron mechanical switch

electronic wise... they always last pretty long...

My Logitech G400 had this problem last time. I keep it in my drawer for a few months and it magically starts working again.. really strange.

i did this before... is pretty hard to fix

I fix until... no click sound and is pretty hard to assemble

in the end... bought those omrom switches from ebay.... I just managed to solder it... and tada... using my perfomance mx now

I also replace my right button just in case it fails soon.



I do have 3 extra omron switches... can help solder... but I am slow and need a macdonald meal for 2

I still have the original Intellimouse. I think this is the first M'soft mouse with optical sensor, right after the rubbery ball. Still works well but too bad it's corded. Now sitting in my hall of fame.

Replaced the Omron switches, those switches fail after a number of times. My mx anywhere mouse got new switches.

Acutally i have the opposite problem with my mouse, double click wont register or sometimes even single clicks doesnt. But i after i close the steelseries (using rival100) software, it work perfectly. My impression is sometimes its a software issue.

This happen to me. So I bring it to service center

Just to chime in, there are mainly 2 types with different operating force(1.47 vs 0.74N). Also, one thing i noticed from the jp switches is that the pin plunger is very slightly taller than mic versions

Thanks. It's about time they spend more focus on mechanical mice with better switches.

There are quite a number of mice out there right now that you can consider. Have a look in Reddit. I won't say too much since I work in a peripherals company myself and may be regarded as up-selling or trashtalking products.

Same here, one of the most lasting mouse I had. (I had both serial port and ps2 version)!

If you have some soldering skill, is best to open up and replace with new switch.

There are quite a number of mice out there right now that you can consider. Have a look in Reddit. I won't say too much since I work in a peripherals company myself and may be regarded as up-selling or trashtalking products.

Any shops with ROG on display? Prefer more customizable buttons like G602 and bluetooth (hopefully). Can PM mice recommendations also if you dont mind

Thought about this but have to get a soldering kit. Might consider dropping by SLT to give a bit of business to them.
