I'm surprised nobody brought this up yet:

Conman gets released from prison, walks all the way from Changi to indoor stadium.
IN A BLACK SUIT IN TROPICAL HEAT.:s22:

And why he exited from the old Changi Prison gate, now ish used the new prison complex across the same road :s22:

Danny Ocean's Incomplete, Unauthorised Grifter's Guide To <Game Plan>

List of scams/cons/lingo featured in Eps 1:

Grift: To con. Grifters=conmen

Handler: The leader of a group of con artists.
Chris Lee

The Mark: A potential victim. The word is supposedly from the chalk mark that con artists once put on potential victim's shoulders to communicate to their crew that the victim had been picked.
Jesseca, Jesseca's "fiance"

Mechanic: An expert card cheat - particularly skilled at sleight of hand.
Chen Shucheng (possible)(Chris Lee tests him with 3 balls, only to find him rusty)

Fortune telling fraud: Lin Meijiao, self-explanatory. Secondary skill used is usually "cold-telling", but this is not shown.

Extortion/False Injury: Chen Shucheng. He crashes into a bike, fakes bleeding, asks for money.

Romance Scam: Romance Scam is a type of Persuasion Scam.
Jesseca is introduced as a victim.

Short Con: A scam that takes little time, little resources and people but only makes a small amount of money.
Lin Meijiao & Chen Shuchengs' introductory cons are short cons.

Long Con: A scam that takes a longer time to commit and targets one person for extended periods.
"Operation Scorpion". Scorpion could be the cover for a bigger long con, with Jesseca as an unknowing accomplice.

The Shill: A confederate of the con artist who may act like a friend or peer of the victim.
Old Suicidal Woman (possible). See "Long Con".

Misdirection: Misdirection is a form of deception in which the attention of an audience is focused on one thing in order to distract its attention from another.
Chris Lee asks the cop for his handcuffs, only to use it on himself. Here, the audience is us the viewers: we think Chris is going to cuff the cop, but then we are surprised!

Danny Ocean is of the opinion that "Ops Scorpion" is not as simple as it seems:

1. otherwise, the con would be boring.
2. Jesseca meets Chris way too conveniently.
3. Chris willingly went to jail...why? Research a fellow grifter in jail, perhaps?

Danny has high hopes for this show...and this show is all abt the con. No Jesseca-falls-in-love-with-Chris bullsh!t, please, that would just be too predictable and boring.
