Interestingly the thud is more muted … my block got Superman from somewhere in between 5th and 10th floor before, the fella land with a crashing sound like … y’all ever seen supermarket staff collecting trolleys and pushing the lot back, and when they stuff this line of trolleys into the main line there will be this crashing sound? It sounded like that.

There was also this video posted here couple years back from the opposite building … of a local jumper where they inflated the thing if the jumper jumped he will land on it safe … this inflatable thing was at 1 corner of the building there the guy was originally sitting at the ledge … and then genius decided to get up and go over to the other end of the ledge and jump … landed on the ground with a loud “PONG!” Also not very high.

This 1 drop 18 floors instead got a muted thud

A properly placed single/double fist jam or elbow jam in the gap between the balcony glass wall and the sill would have let him save his strength and hang on almost indefinitely.
