I realised that the Daikin iSmiles series I've installed cannot be controlled with Google Home.. May I know if we can use broadlink for it? The remote is RF or IR anyone knows?

Experiencing network issues with RM4C mini. It can connect but after a while (~1hr), it cannot connect. Using Asus AC68U firmware. Tried 2.4GHz guest network (WPA/WPA2 Personal) but RM4C mini cannot connect to it.

You can test at home- IR requires line of sight, like your TV.

i'm controlling my air con and KDK fan with the RM Mini.
I set a timer for air con to turn off say after 5 hrs and Fan to turn On after 5hrs and 10mins

so after the air con is off for 10mins, the fan will turn on.

Hi guys, I am currently planning for my home to be voice assistant controllable.

I plan to change my switches to Livolo switches + RM4 Pro + alexa/google home + some smart plugs.

Can anyone advise whether the livolo switches can be controlled in RM4 Pro?
I know for broadlink TC2 switches we can get the RF 433 remote and use IHC to learn the code .. But how bout livolo?

And is there any further advise u guys can give me .. My main goal is to use voice to control lights, aircons , fans , and TV ..

I am also using an iphone , which one would u prefer the alexa or google? I think google home devices are easier to purchase in singapore.

Currently I set my aircon to turn off at 4am everyday and set timer on my smart power plug to turn the fan at the same time. I did not need e-remote Broadlink RM.

I have been using this feature for 3 years.

Why Livolo?
You can get wifi-enabled non-neutral wire switches. In this case, no need RF blaster to work with.

However, to answer your question, you can use RM PRO to control your Livolo switches.

Your iSmiles series should be wifi-enabled, right?
Did you add Daikin into your Google Home services?
Use IR remote control if your wifi failed.

I thought always lagging? lol.. but in all seriousness, no much diff in terms of response, but the app is not intuitive and sluggish to navigate. But once I press the button, response is fine.

Response seemed ok but I noticed that the latest bestcon tc2s switches now must use QR code to connect. Also can’t use the “press and hold” learning mode. Also, the RF code used to turn on and off seemed cannot be scanned anymore - I use the RF codes to program into a remote as the senior folks at home not so good with mobile app or Google Home (Google mandarin support still a bit lacking).

Anyone had luck with rf codes scanning/ capture from the new tc2s switches?

For Broadlink & TC2, they should work. If it doesn't work, consult your seller for advice & support.

Tc2 is ok .. Just that the new switches tc2s rf codes cannot be read. I wonder if the rf signal are further encrypted. Unfortunately, seller doesn’t support 3rd party automation ie home assistant

Notifications on Broadlink app

Hi guys, I have broadlink app (not ihc or e-control) installed in iphone and android phone. Lately only my iphone has given me Broadlink notifications and not the android phone.
I set a routine on my door sensor (s2) to notify me when it is open at a certain time period.

Anyone facing notification issues?

Anyone facing issue of not being able to add additional buttoned in IHC? I can't see to add for my fan example another button for the speed. Don't have the option to choose anymore.

I have to use TV template for my fan so that I could programme the Speed 1, 2 & 3.
The fan template in ihc is not useful for my KDK fan.

I’m using S1 but it’s with e-control. No issues so far.

My KDK fan still can add button.

For context, my fan is IR and I’m using custom lamp template. I recommend you migrate your stuff to Broadlink app.

Broadlink Singapore having sale again. Most likely heading down this weekend to pick up some stuff together with my brother in law who’s starting on his home automation journey!
