Hi, recent Paul Hibber video (10-1-18) commented on BroadLink Pro + (RM3) that restricted usage of RM plug in and not working properly with Alexa with broadlink IHC app on Alexa skill.
Suggested to buy the older version RM02....
What you guys think?
I’m interested with Alexa integration. Anyone tested later BroadLink Pro+ (RM03) with Alexa here?
Can I use IHC apps to learn YooGee and other third party RF remote that runs 315Mhz and 433Mhz freely now?

ya... i'm abit confused with the 2-way thingy, seems like some of u guys are refering it as having the main physical switch and then a 'dummy' wall-like 'remote' switch to make it as ''2-way''... but from diagrams (refer to one of the diagram i show in my below link 'wiring diagram'), there is this 'COM' line which is connection to another switch, i think this IS the 2-way that some of our hse have (2 switch controlling 1 same light)... so if Livolo switches are 2-way compatible, meaning i do not need to do anything to my existing 2-way wiring, just buy the relevant 2-way to change and everything else still works... den i will be happy to go with Livolo.

I'm already considering getting electrician to disable my 2-way to make everything 1-way so can get the RF 1-way wall switches. :s11:

erm not exactly 2 way but its "master and slave"
cos now you have "2 ways" to run on and off. 1 via the wall switch and 1 via the remote beside your bed

Plan your switches placements. I made mistake by getting a 3 gang switch for 2 gang switch cos the original 3 gang switch, one of it was for a 2 way switch.. thank goodness i got mine from a local seller so i manage to swapped the 3 gang to 2 gang switch. Planning part is most essential.

Hi Xenocide, how do you trigger RM pro with IFTTT? Can't seems to find broadlink in IFTTT to do this skill.

Cheers
sbkwan14

i'm using the S1 Hub
i placed the motion sensors outside my wooden frame to as to detect any people coming to my door.

I had the door sensor on the main wooden door too.

i have IFTTT set to:
1. if i open the door after 8pm, turn on living room lights and room lights.
2. if door close after 10pm, turn off living room lights.

The sad thing is, the push notification does not work for me. I do not get SMS notifications when someone approached my door as "person detected" nor when my door open/close as "door open/close". Not sure what i have to do but i can remote monitor the status of my alarm kit via 4G data. Even after enabling Push Notification on both RM Pro and the S1 kit

I've got the broadlink power stripe also which i have my tv, sound bar, starhub box and streaming box plugged in.
I can use RM Pro to turn on the stripe and in turn, all the appliances conenctd will turn on. then i created a scene with Mi remote to switch to the soruce of starhub box HDMI. with that scene, i set a IFTTT if power is on, delay, scene 1 (which is a combination of button presses on the remote). I can remotely turn on or off the whole stripe or set a timer for my kid to watch tv.

i'm also looking into adding more things RM Pro compatible but so far only limited to the light switches and the alarm kit.

have not explored other stuffs

i'm trying not to interfere with the existing setup tats y i go buy the 2-way switches to retain the current wiring setup.

arr... yes, of... so summary is that...

1) 2-way switches are physically 2-way enabled... can use to replace the mechnical 2-way switches in existing wiring.

2) "Master & Slave" 2 switches.... one main wiring switch, the other "slave" is actually a remote controller non-wiring, wifi-only switch but looks exactly lik a 'switch' to control the master.... :s22:

ya cos i don't wan to climb out of bed to turn of my bedroom lights for example. so the remote beside my bed will act as a "2 way switch" for the bedroom light.

IFTTT app doesnt support broadlink products yet. :(

you can also use the "scene" to do some simple IFTTT also
like when u enable the scene say "Living Room" you can set to turn on living room light, turn on the power stripe for tv and set top boxes"
it has time delay in between commands. so its not exactly IFTTT but more of what you wan to do when u click the scene.

yep, im already using the 'Scene' in the RM PRO app to do the sequence of activating lights and such. haha....

as for the climb out of bed to off lights, actualli how it all started into getitng this rm pro and switches is due to that! my wife always ask me off lights, so now oso i no need climb out of bed... i got 2 ways to do it now.. either use RM pro app on mobile fone... put on bedside table beside bed... or i just command Alexa to off the lights (i do hav an echodot on bedside table too). haha :s13:

Just sharing...

My broadlink s2 hub is here...works flawlessly with rm pro... Tried the motion and door sensor.. Works.

Can do broadlink own IFTTT to on and off light when triggered. Push messages to HP works... A little prompt say which sensor triggered. Awesome.

So i try put sensor at livingroom... Walk pass and on my shelf and floor lamp... Works.

I oso bought 3rd party door sensor by EMOOLUXR.. Can't add it to s2 hub cos it doesn't have the qr code or s/n (broadlink add sensor by scanning qr code).. Sad. but Lucky buy cheap lik less than $4 to try.

But i go use this door sensor to make the open and close action and let one of my rf socket to learn.. Seems lik able to pick up the signal though But only will off the rf socket. Nt sure how it works.

So not totally useless for the 3rd party door sensor per say... I can still use it to off a rf socket(direct signal to rf socket) when triggered... Just like that, and dats is if i want. (i will still prefer broadlink original door sensor to work tgt with IFFFT)

I still have 2 DIGOO motion sensors yet to arrive... Seller say can work wit broadlink products... Hope its true.. Better come wit a valid qr code recognised by Broadlink else oso not so much use.

Guess recommend to just stick to broadlink own door and motion sensor for the easy integration. :s13:

Plan to use the door sensor in store room, when open door... on the store room light (door sensor -> s2 hub -> rm pro -> livolo RF433mhz wall switch), if door close, off store room light. now awaiting my Livolo wall switches to come too.

Plan to use the motion sensor in toliet, when sense ppl walk-in toliet... on the light (motion sensor -> s2 hub -> rm pro -> livolo RF433mhz wall switch), and if no motion detected for maybe 1 minute in toliet, just off the toliet light.
