Hihi, can share the Link of the USB RF remote from Taobao? Thanks!

Just to share a RF remote which I recently found that is able to control my 20+ Yoogee switches. That will easily require 40+ sets of different EV1527 RF codes. This is a USB RF remote that easily can generate 65,536 different codes. With this, I am able to get my RM Pro+ to learn the codes to allow Google Assistant or Alexa to voice control all my switches.

I could have gotten one of those remotes sold in Carousell or Qoo10... but this is cheap.... Cost me slightly less than S$8 with shipping from Taobao.

With the extra codes, I can also set up special codes to simultaneously control a few switches (either ON/OFF at one go).

This should also work for other 3rd party RF Wall switches such as Funry and Sankou

If you are using LED lightings, do install the capacitor on the lights to prevent under wattage flickering issue. That all.

Lighting? For the smart switches not all lights can be use with it? Sorry I thought that any lights install and connected to the switch can be controlled.

I donno what switches you gonna use but if tc2 switches, anything less than 10 watts need to install the capacitor that come with the TC2 switches. But then again you can install the capacitor to all your lightings also.

Ooo.. Whats the best wattage for smart switches to work?:s11:

Thank You!

Silly qns which should I get the 315MHz or 433Mhz? :s11:

And also for the Yoogee switches that you are using, are you using 1way or 2way?

I am using 1 way Yoogee... You don't really need 2 way unless you want to use the switch to control another switch in another room. You can do this via the RM pro already... The 2-way switch is essentially a smart switch equipped with a RF transmitter and receiver.

I believe RMPro supports both 315MHz and 433Mhz... but the Yoogee is using 433Mhz. 315Mhz should have a longer range... but the 433Mhz is good enough for me... I don't stay in a bungalow :p. It basically can be reached comfortably at the far end of my apartment.

It’s not a limitation on Broadlink side. It’s a limitation by Somfy. Even though Somfy remote is 433mhz, they have encrypted the RF so that it solely works with their own remote or hub. They call this RTS = Radio Technology Somfy which is also = encrypted

In short, you can’t teach rm pro+ encrypted RF

You from Broadlink? When will the next major update be?

Ehhh makes sense too:D

How long have you been using the Yoogee switches? Need to install any capacitor? The switches you brought them from Taobao too?

KDK Ceiling Fans

How about KDK Ceiling Fans? I read in another thread saying that those with remote are easily spoiled and not that good. What other fan would you guys recommend with remote to link to RM Pro?

Yes, I bought them from taobao and have been using it for more than 3 months :)... Initially had some problems.. but the manufacturer in China is kind enough to resolve all the issues for me... So it has been good for the past 3 months (*touch wood*).

Nope, I did not use any capacitor and my whole house is on LED lights. I was informed by the manufacturer that they have increased the capacitance in the switches. That helped to resolve the initial problem whereby 2 of my switches conked off within 3 days and tripped my PCB. As a preventive measure, the manufacturer swapped out all my switches with the new batch of higher capacitance.

I hooked up my ceiling fan to the smart switch and use RM Pro to on/off it.... Actually, most of the time I don't need to vary the speed....

Create scene.. RM pro can turn on/off my rf ceiling fan only with the ihc app. I create custom scene and Google recognize it and thus it works.
