Anyone can share with remote to buy to control my broadlink tc2 switches? I'm trying to use alexa voice control to control my switches and heard I will need a remote to link to my switches first for rmpro to learn then link to Alexa. So far I bought 3 433 rf remote all cannot work.

Hi Ben, currently you can't do voice control with TC2 switches. Also TC2 can't learn the 433 codes from rf remote. You can only pair up TC2 with RM Pro via e-control / IHC App.

Actually you can just pair it up with IHC with Echo Dot =X

Ben i couldn't see your images, but assuming you're using TC2 not E-Touch you can just go on and pair it with the IHC app once paired create a scene for turning on and off for your lights then go to amazon alexa go to skills discover you should be able to see your lights switches hope it works for you.

TC2 switch no need remote. you just need to press and hold. Follow the instruction on your IHC app to pair.

Note, broadlink hv quality issues, so dont be surprise if switches not working. For every 10 switch, 3 are spoil. zzzz can be frustrating and waste of money.
But end result is quite fun la..

Apologies for the broken photo links. I have edited them to link to websites showing the photos of the remotes I've bought. The reason I bought these remotes is that I am trying to use the remote to pair to the different individual buttons on my tc2 switch, thereafter I can create TV template in IHC individually for the buttons, rename them and use alexa to voice control them.

I tried the scene method it does not work. For example a 3-gang TC2 switches, I am trying to use voice control through alexa to switch on only 1 of the 3 gangs on the tc2 switches only. It doesn't turn on that particular light, but when i add other IR remote(such as fan remote to change speed) to the same scene it does perform the changing of fan speed.

If you setup with the old apk, you should be able to rename each individual gang. AA or GH works well with it.

I am able to rename individual gang. But when I tried to use voice to activate that particular gang, all 3 gangs are activated instead of just one. Tried a couple of times same result.

Is there any blockage since IR needs line of sight? I presume you are using standard aircons eg Mitsubushi or Daikin... There are existing templates in both eControl and iHC. You can load them to see if there is any learning problems or line of sight issues.

The RM pro+ need to be in the line of sight. Similiar to the remote control. Distance also play a part.

Hi,

Anyone has this issue with fans? I have to add 5 lamp template for a ceiling fan (low/med/hi/off/lights). The problem is that since all device was added as lamp, Google recognises them as lights. So when I say turn all lights on... my tv, air con etc will turn on as well.

Google is also confused which light to turn on when I say turn on fan light - because every device is recognized as a light and I have 5 with the word fan in the name!

So the only way is to use more or different (unintuitive) words. But that takes the convenience away.

Any help?

Just to share a RF remote which I recently found that is able to control my 20+ Yoogee switches. That will easily require 40+ sets of different EV1527 RF codes. This is a USB RF remote that easily can generate 65,536 different codes. With this, I am able to get my RM Pro+ to learn the codes to allow Google Assistant or Alexa to voice control all my switches.

I could have gotten one of those remotes sold in Carousell or Qoo10... but this is cheap.... Cost me slightly less than S$8 with shipping from Taobao.

With the extra codes, I can also set up special codes to simultaneously control a few switches (either ON/OFF at one go).

This should also work for other 3rd party RF Wall switches such as Funry and Sankou

May I know where did you get this RF remote module? would like to purchase it but unable to find in taobao and aliexpress. WAs thinking of purchasing to control Funry switches.

Tap on "Device" and choose the RM that is controlling your aircons. Then tap "Add appliance". You will see a "Air conditioner" category. Tap on it and select "Air conditioning brand matching" to choose your aircon model.

Refer to post #116723218. I have not tested this on Funry switch but I reckon that since Funry and Yoogee were listed in eControl in the same template, I guess they are using the same EV1527 codes. If your Funry switch can be controlled by any 433Mhz remote, you should be safe.
