Has anyone encounter any problem with Google home and Broadlink
For example I tried to off my tv.
Sometimes it will tell me that this mode isn't available.
But other times it's working.
So I'm not sure what's wrong. Is broadlink down sometimes?
Yes same problem. Performance is not consistent

Its very normal. Google assistant take some time to connect to its server.

HA newbie here.
I got a System 2 aircon (in two bedrooms) and TV (in living room).
If I put a RM Pro in living room, can it activate aircon in the rooms?

I am quite frustrated with the IHC and e-control.

The frustration comes with using the Galaxy S8. I do not know if it is because of the android version, but trying to add a device on it always ends in failure.

Whereas using on my Galaxy S3 does not have the problem.


Using the S8, if I have e-control installed, and I want to add the rm pro again for the ihc, I will have to reset the rm pro and then, e-control does not work. Says that there is a problem with authentication as the device as been reset.

On my Galaxy S3, I can add to IHC and it does not affect e-control.
The only way I can think of around this is to back up my e-control and restore in my galaxy s8.

Right now, it seems that restoring has an issue. My file is 2.4 MB and the e-control app does not seem to be downloading.


I was having both working on my S8 through this roundabout way. Recently because I changed my router.... hell begin. My app does not see the rm pro anymore so I needed to reset. Since I cannot back up the IHC settings and deleted them in a bid to reinstall everything. That is what caused this situation I am having now.

Does anyone know how to backup IHC settings?

You require 1 RM pro plus 2 RM mini. The RM mini for each bedroom to control your aircon. If you have ceiling fans that use RF remote, the RM pro can do the job.

HA newbie here.

Check your router. Rm pro and mini works on 2.4Ghz channel only. You need to seperate the 5ghz and 2.4ghz in your router if they are combined.

I’ve been facing the same issues as you guys the past few days. I have tried everything in my knowledge- unlink and relink my Broadlink Smart Home, deleted and re-downloaded the Google Home and IHC app but to no avail. I even emailed Google only to just check my Facebook and see Paul Botak’s status update. I’ve been using RM Pro for six months and this is the first time this has happened. I’ve resorted to using e-remote these last few days.

Anyway, I have contacted the local Broadlink distributor. Once she replies me, I will update you guys.

No problems with my broadlink but am looking for something better than broadlink.

Is there any that u would recommend to do an upgrade?

So I have some updates. Apparently only those using iOS (especially those who updated to iOS 12) are affected. The new OS has some bugs causing some performance issues with a number of apps, including IHC, Google Home, Google Assistant et al, which is why we have been getting “updates” aka patches the past couple of weeks on our App Store update page.

Now, the solution is the log out from your account on the IHC app from your iPhone/iPad, then log back in using an Android OS phone/tablet. You don’t have to buy a new Android phone per se, just borrow one from a friend/family and set this up. Make sure the IHC app on Android is the latest version- if you’re unsure, delete and re-download the app.

After that is done, log into your account and then test it out- it should do the trick. Do not open the IHC app on your iOS device. If problem still persist, download the Google Home app on your android and log into it and link it with the Broadlink Smart Home under More Settings -> Home Control.

Hi, I am new to all this and have recently set up RM Pro+ to use the lamp templates for all my devices, cos I understand Google Home can only "see" lamp templates from IHC.

However, most devices use the same RF frequency for the on and off functions.

So when I say "turn off the light", it will turn "on" the light instead if the previous light state is already "off".

So I did some reading and found this forum.

Would you know if TC 2 can positively feedback it's off/on state to Google Home through IHC?

Really frustrated, i can set up lamp in IHC and google home can see it. But no matter how many time i create the air con, google home will never see it. Why why why.

Same here :(

I wonder if Echo will work better than Google home with IHC?

Hi Guys,

Not sure if anyone of you had this problem before.
I got Google home + Broadlink Rm pro
With voice command activated for tv fan aircon and so on. And i know it was so much fun :)

I recently reboot my router
And of course i set back according to my last wifi name and pass to prevent anything for my setup.
However after i set up router.
I lost those voice and act command.

With ihc scene apps
1. Yes. I m able to run all switches

With google apps
1. There is an answer from google. But no ir being transmitted out from broadlink

May i know what should i do?
I tried :
Delete broadlink connection in google home
Add in broadlink devices back
Create routine such as activate tv
Point action to broadlink scene activate tv
But all zero.

I can only use the Lamp templates as a workaround.

I’m using lamp templates as well for all my IR. Working fine.
