Is300 can bargain till how much??

if u are keen, go down and have a chat with the SE. in lexus thread, shaving 20k off from the list price is a norm, anything more than you will have to negotiate with the SE and depending how hungry or how desperate they are.

is all about staging..

Your might be surprised. A 1.6 TC conti vs 1.6 TC non conti. Moreover is is MB. Try first then comment.

I agree, never judge on paper, a test drive will speak for itself.

this I agree... the difference is too marginal, go for E200 makes more sense.

I recently tcss with the sales from C&C, they told me this E180 is to upsell people looking at C class or 3 series and not people with a budget for E200 or 523.

My guess is the sales jack up the price and give big discounts to entice buyers.

The final price should be near its competitors' (e.g. BMW and Lexus) net price.

The problem is turbo-charged cars need more maintenance and don't last as long as naturally aspirated cars.

Your argument not valid for E class. Coz the base models have been turbocharged for a decade, and supercharged the decade before :s13:

Exactly hahah

I have owned 4 TC/SC cars over the past 15 years and never faced higher maintenance cost :s13:

It is not 230K the final buy price. After deduct all the goodie the net price is 190K.

But compare to E200, they take out many features like suction door, roller blind and GPS.... and with a smaller engine size a 20K different with E200 is hard to justify and not attractive.

Plus that car is not exactly very light

I used that 156hp engine in my previous CLA - still okay but not sure about in a E

If its 40k diff, i suppose thats kinda steep gap. Around 20k ish, then prob make more sense to get 200.

Serious? I haven tried before but looking at numbers, doesn't seem v impressive. Maybe I should try it out. Nowadays manufacturers downsizing on engine displacement and add turbos to make up for the deficit in displacement.

Get your cheque book ready when you are heading to C&C for test drive, they will corner you until you sign on the dotted line.

Actually, it's the other way around for me

I went with my cheque book and told the SE - I am ready to buy, make me an offer I can't refuse :s13:

I find this mentality amusing. People buy MB/BMW and look down on other brands, but then do they not realise the porsche drivers looking down on them? And then the ferrari/lambo/mclaren drivers even more?

Never a winning game once you play who has more money

Like those stay landed driving toyota look down on those driving MB living in HDB
