Early Jan Trip

Hey all, I have some half planned itinerary ( confirmed), and some places with no idea how to slot them in. please help me "fill in the blanks". Guy, first timer to TW going with another male friend.


5th Jan: Reach TPE at around 3pm, head to hotel at XMD area. check in and go night market (sunsets early since its winter)


6th Jan: jiufen


7th Jan: wufenpu + raohe NM


8th Jan: shifen


9th Jan: 六福村 (will go here alone since my friend doesn't like theme parks)


10th Jan: TPE 101, tpe station area


11th Jan: Flight back to SG at 2pm. Be at airport by 12.




Below are the places I have found but need help slotting in:


- Taipei 101
- wufenpu + Raohe NM
- Some hill(?) near tpe 101?? (is there such a thing)
- xiao ren guo (looks interesting. worth or not?)
- Wulai
- Danshui
- YangMingShan (some hiking)
- Beitou
- Ning xia
- TPE main station

You can lump Yangmingshan, Beituo and Dansui into 1 day. Hiking at Yangmingshan in the morning, go and enjoy hotspring at beituo then at night go Dansui see see look look plus some shopping.

I never been to wulai before but i remember it is at extreme south of taipei if i not wrong. Maybe you can lump wulai together with wufenpu+raohe NM.

There is an elephant hill quite near to taipei 101. Got a good view of taipei 101 from the hill. People usually go there to take photos of taipei 101 but nothing much to do at there except to climb alot of stairs

TPE main station is mostly shopping at the basement shops. Depends on person, usually i will go shopping only during last 2 days of my trip.

will be travelling between 5 Jan and 11 Jan. Solo trip. Haven plan itinerary but thinking to take TRA pingxi line. Heard taiwan has many scenic railway tour. Also thought of going to shifen, jiufen (maybe). Still contemplating to go Taichung and outskirts of Taichung. Will be good if could car pool few tourist places outskirt Taichung. Will spend last few days in Taipei.

Day 1, Sat : Taipei > Hua Lien (hua lien night market)
Day 2, Sun : Qi Xin Tian > Hua Lien - taipei > put stuff at hostel / rail
Day 3, Mon: San Diao LingShi Fen, Jiu Fen
Day 4, Tue: Ping xi line (rui fang station) > somewhere around rui fang line
Day 5, Wed: Taipei, Bei Tou (Bei Tou sunset? Is there?)
Day 6, Thurs: Geo Park (Geopark sun set), Night market, 24h carrefour
Day 7, Fri: Around taipei , rest , airport
