tested this tcm decoction at half dosage, eczema receded by 70%.. left 30% of the stubborn ones :(

http://www.faqs.org/periodicals/201002/1984286671.html

but if anyone wants to try, would suggest to find a good physician for an accurate prescription/diagnosis. but suggestion, dont steep the sheng di huang in alcohol, instead use it on its own, its more effective. tried the alcohol version, not as good. for starters, dont go full dosage, this medicine, is quite "big" a dose

approx 10 decoctions at half the dosage that was recommended. once a day.

there's a few journal articles on this, including that in journal of chinese medicine (uk), and quite good reviews from some of the mainland chinese journals. but my advice still, if possible, seek experienced chinese physician advice.. i know a bit of tcm and i m slightly adventurous so i self medicate carefully, without the experience.. dont!! for me i tell myself.. decoct a bit.. try.. if never work then no gain, no loss either. else having eczema and leaving it there is suffering.

one of the most famous chinese physicians in singapore for skin disorders was chia kit chay, but he had long since passed away and i wonder if his decendents are continuing his good work in singapore

I use cetaphil restoraderm moisturizer. Currently only available in USA and Canada I think. Still not available in Singapore. It's specially formulated for eczema/atopic dermatitis prone skin. Get it from eBay if you're interested. Go cetaphil.com check it out under products.

growing older helps. also try to be as dirty as possible, so u can retain the natural body oil. external stuff, like moisturisers only work for a while.

when u feel itchy, take some histamines.

when u sweat, wipe clean with towel gently, in a dabbing fashion. lastly don't scratch, don't rub. hope this helps.

Is it now we consume too much chemicals, work stress, or newater got too much chemicals.
Cos frenz recommend DIAMOND water purification, our water too alkaline.
shower spray with lemon juice built-in.
I tot our water most clean liao.

fr the Aust website, the woman gv detailed breakdown of the ingredients in moisturiser, seems that all moisturiser contain chemicals, which may irritate the skin more than helps.

too clean is not good. strip away the natural protection. no immune system. that's y maybe the eczema is to attract more bacterias to keep your immune system alive. :s13:

i've been using more acidic shower gel. it seems to help too. it's funny how much chemicals go into our tap water. taste totally different from other countries. :s22:

i had 2 options :

1) stay in a mountain side, drink spring water, bathe in spring water,
no need diamond water purification.
2) stay in the north pole with eskimo, eat Omega 3 daily, ply with polar bear.
no stress.

hahaha, jus kidding
