Recommend cheapest and good body wash? The known ones are QV and Centaphil. Both cost $25/L (compared to $5+/l for regular ones). Any other cheap and good brand and mild can use?
Also any where to buy QV/Centaphil at a good price?

wait for Watson or guardian to have sales loh.

u can try other brands that are soap-free also. many regular brands have their own range of soap-free body wash

I am using Eucerin Body Wash or something...Not with me now thus only trying to recall from memory. Normally I get it from Mustafa which I think is cheaper than the many pharmacies I see.

Hi All, especially those with serious cases of eczema, have anyone tried raw food diet or juicing? Mediacorp got one show about going green and got this young lady that open a raw food cafe claims that she used to suffer from eczema but since on raw foods diet cured/ control her eczema.
Althought I don't have eczema, I have diabetes and I'm more that 110kg 1.65m tall, I managed to stay on a raw foods/ juicing diet for 21days, and during that 21 days I don't need to take my diabetes meds.
Go youtube and search " Fat , Sick and nearly Dead", if need any help can pm me. Don't worry I'm selling anything. Can provided basic info for juicing.

My eczema now very flare up until very jia lat after I stopped using steroid creams. Used for about 3 years and EVERYTIME I stop, my eczema comes back with a vengeance. Now both legs and thigh and groin region major flare. Skin dry, raw, bleeding and weeping. What's worse is my Reservist in 2 days. I have read every piece of information on this and still I suffer. My only regret is trying the steroid creams.

Now I'm changing up my diet, just went for tcm and they gave me some pills and powder to boil to drink.

And I'm also chanced upon this drwheatgrass.com. Luckily they available in SG. so I'm gonna try the supershots and skin spray as my eczema is basically my lower body. I feel so miserable right now. If all else fails I just might go back to cgh and ask the doc to prescribe me oral steroids plus steroid cream to apply. Boh bian already, I can't live life normally now. I dread going into showers. I can't even find a job. I'm a burden to my family.

I do not want to show graphic photographs of my condition here. But I can confirm it's one of the worst around here. I can't even walk properly now due to my skin rubbing against itself.

I want to thank everyone who read all of it. I hope wheatgrass will really help me. It is so expensive... To all the skin condition sufferers out there. I hope you and I, both heal fully one day..

I understand how it feel when we we become a burden to the family.. im one of them.. im forced to change job for my condition...my condition is bad,
basically every where on the body ,any part u can think of, there is... plus I scratched till my nails grow fungus, which worsen my condition... don know is it due to the fungus, my nail bcom very thin, assuch when I scratch, it easiy bleed, due to the fungus, it cos my wounds to b infected, as such it weep... its kind of smelly when it weep.. esp my mum has a super power nose.. a little bit of things she can smell it.. then as im infected every where.. she will say "u stinks , go shower"

as we know its torturingfor us to shower as it hurts... other than that she everytime find funny remedy and ask me apply n shower sayingits herbs.. I pui, as she said those herbss cannot be found in Chinese herb store, plant like mimosa is herbs as it can be really found in herb store... so she everytime boil that funny herbss and ask me rub hardly, soak la, I jus say ok and throw it away.. cos I tried once,.. its super drying effect...our skin already so dry she still ask me to make it more dry... hai...

basically I tried many many herbs / supplement .. some really did works but the effect wasn't lasting.... for example neem oil which not known to many.. I also tried the TCM auntie at telok blangah.... I tried for a month, her herbs are expensive though she give discount liao... but that one month I don feel any improvement plus she nv really comment much on myy conidition so I decided not to carry on...

now im trying the healing resounnce which seems to be effective after 8 session... hope this illness will go away...

btw mach8frapper, do update us/ me on the wheatgrass thingy... seems good n cheap.. hope it works for u so we can try it out.. thanks

Hello, i'm new here. I actually got diagnosed with eczema by NSC after I got an allergic reaction from insect bites (sandfly?) during NS training in Brunei. Been under treatment for a few months already but the bites on my hand and feet have not improved. Other parts of the body have subsided.

I'm currently still on ciclosporin pills everyday with topical steriod cream. Previously was on oral steriods but it wasnt very effective so they gave me the immunosuppresant ciclosporin.

From the earlier posts, i understand the negative impacts of topical steriods now and will probably stop it ASAP. Just wondering, are creams like Diprocel and Mometasone also steriod creams?

Also, should I continue on ciclosporin. My parents are actually very against the idea due to the potential side effects it can bring. Also its supposedly a very strong drug too. But without it, I'm afraid the bites will resurface and get inflamed again.

Thanks!

mometasone is steroid cream... but how come immunosuppressant cant temporary bring down the condition? is it dose too low? cos I went nsc b4... their way of giving dose are unlike pte doc... they give v low dose n slowly increase doc? is that y u don see improvement... my past exp with pe skin doc are they use ur weight as a reference for amount of max dose to b given..

perhaps u might wanna change to pte doc? or u considering going anti steroid way? but if u plan to go non steroid ay, u need to go thru steroid withdrawal symptom ....which is a terrible stage

sad he was my specialist
heard that he fell down at home

Same here, he was my specialist for the last 2 yrs. Now the clinic doesn't have a fixed doctor and I was wondering if I should go to other clinic. 2 different doctors seen me since dr loke pass away and both offered different advice, feel like I am resetting my treatment everytime i see them and condition is not improving also and flare up quite badly due to the insane weather and change of treatment.

Any other specialist in this field to recommend ?

btw, i was googling for tcm eczema, came across this

TCM News: Best TCM Doctor for Eczema & Psoriasis

anyone tried before?

i want to try TCM, but seeing comments here, its not 100% effective

I went to see dr ong before, recommended by one of the forumer in this thread.

She will give u oral medicine and medicine to apply on ur skin and a list of foods to avoid. She also did acupuncture for me as I am flaring very badly when I went to see her. I went for only 2 months and really having problem avoiding the food in the list, effects had not been good and I stop going there. The place is quite far from where i live and the queue is pretty long but while waiting, I did see a lot of patients with skin conditions seeing her.

Hi, just an update to my condition. And to provide an alternative, perhaps.

I have recently attended a seminar by Dr Paddy Reynolds. His talk revolved around the biodiversity of the human digestive system. Long story short, because of GMO, questionable farming methods of modern society and antibiotics etc etc, our body is depleted of bacteria that we are dependent upon for survival.

Eczema may be an effect of this depletion. Currently I have finished consuming my olive supplements, which have been excellent in keeping my condition from flaring up. I intend to buy probiotics to see if it helps. I will update my progress when I can.
