A proper woofer and tweeter will sound way better than a single... tweeter-woofer thingy used in small speakers including the stage.

I was pretty amazed at the way the v2 sounds given it's price. I am not sure about your ears but doesn't the v2 have twitter and for bass using subwoofer ? It sounds to my ears like a single high and and a low.

A good speaker should sound like a single left and a single right.

That's what happens when you have a single small tweeter-woofer try to reproduce all the sound and fail to do so, while the subwoofer eithers
a) Only reproduce frequencies below 150Hz hence resulting a hole in the frequency response
b) Reproduce all the way until 500Hz hence making it sound directional

Hi Shifus,

I recently bought a new R1700BT edifier speaker from Edifier Official Store on Shopee. Initially, the store delayed the shipment and told me they got stock issue. When I almost cancelled the order then they shipped out the item.

When I unboxed, the remote controller inside is without the front protector sticker (backside has the transparent protector sticker) and there were scratches over the front side that you can see under reflection... There was even 2 tapes on the seal for the remote control, like the original seal has been opened and re-tape...

The Shopee Official Store CS keep convincing me it is brand new but they were not able to provide a valid reason on the scratches over the remote controller. How do I confirm this speakers is brand new or it is a returned/refurbished unit?

This was my first time buying a bookshelf speakers, not a pleasant experience...
