Are property prices jacked up by foreigners?
Aside from Vancouver and Toronto? No.
Are the cities infested by "refugees" from north africa and the middle east?
No. They tend to go to their quadrant.
How are the south asians like over there? Are they elbowing the locals away, infiltrating companies, packing the whole company with their own kind?
Not that I know of.
Is the government indeed so woke that they prioritise foreigners over their own, plaster those pro LGBTQWERTYUIOP nonsenses everywhere, use national funds to subsidise sex change operations?
No. Locals come first.

Edmonton has been named the third-best place to live in Canada, according to a new report ranking the country’s top cities.

Global Citizen Solutions, an international consultancy firm, said 325 annual days of sunshine, affordable housing and the city’s reputation as “Festival City” helped Edmonton secure a spot on the podium.

The report found the average home price in the city is $431,300, with an annual average wage of $51,965. Major employers include agriculture, oil and gas, construction, manufacturing, real estate and retail.

West Edmonton Mall, unsurprisingly, was also highlighted as a major draw for shopping, dining and entertainment, and events like the Heritage Festival stood out as reasons for its high ranking.

“The city has a strong economy that balances amenities such as modern healthcare facilities, affordable property prices, and plenty of outdoor activities.”

Global Citizen Solutions ranks its best places to live in Canada for 2025 by examining factors such as job market, affordability and quality of life. It noted that mid-sized cities such as Halifax, Saskatoon, Fredericton, Charlottetown, Quebec City and Waterloo offer cheaper rents and a high quality of life, with access to jobs and healthcare but less crowding than major centres.

Calgary topped the list, followed by Ottawa. Other cities in the top 15 included Montreal, Vancouver, Halifax and Saskatoon.

The gap between Canada’s haves and have-nots has never been bigger.
Statistics Canada reported last month that the income gap reached a record high this year. During the first quarter of 2025, the top 40 per cent of Canadian households captured 66.2 per cent of all after-tax income in Canada. The bottom 40 per cent shared just 17.2 per cent of income.
It was a record gap, up 11.9 per cent from four years ago.
Statistics Canada reported the income gap widened because the top 20 per cent of Canadians by income — or “quintile” in statistician talk — benefited from rising investment income while the bottom 20 per cent saw wages stagnate.

First, high-income households saw huge gains from property income — money made from investments in real estate, stocks and other assets.

And second, the compensation for Canada’s highest earners is rising much faster than the salaries and wages of other Canadians.

No need to worry.

It is very tough to find good high paying jobs in Calgary. Have to start from scratch. Very tough. Taxes are also a lot higher than Singapore.
So anyone moving here from Singapore will instantly feel it. And many will say wah earn so little tax so much no CPF no savings how to retire? And they will balek kampung to Singapore for sure.

Well except for the very few determined siao on fellas.
