I never had any issue playing when my waifu is my up or down leg. But then last week my cousins came and insist couple can only sit opposite each other.

Just to understand whats the rational sia since we playing shooter pay.

couple of course must sit opposite, cos can feed each other and collude

shooter pay is to prevent collusion

couple can keep feeding each other so shooter pay, then the rest no need to pay

Minimise collusion.

But frankly speaking, if the couple have the intention to do so, sitting arrangements can only do so much.

Just avoid playing with such couples if you ever encounter them, really spoils the fun in playing mj.

Other then collusion?

Because no matter who my down leg is, whenever my opposite or up leg is 4-5 tai, i will feed my down leg as much if me or them are 1 or 2 tai and provided i got no more safe tiles to throw liao. Is this the correct way?

Ive heard some couple play 心理战, purposely feed down leg gao gao to let the down leg cheong to increase chances to 放炮.

You can feed anyone but not your couple or fren cos collude lor

Unless all 4 are fren that play often then ok

Otherwise got suspect of collusion

Manage to invite a couple staying same area as me to mj because hand itchy. This is the 2nd time playing with them. We chose to sit opposite for each couple. Both playing style is throw whatever their down leg discard, guarding is at max level lol. Me and waifu still newbie, end up both of us lose haha...

How is the set up like for mahjong cards, play as per normal with 1 single deck to draw cards ?
