Honestly, no idea what age I can retire lah 😂 Not much savings either, just taking life one step at a time and hoping things will work out. 😅

My role model hahah

I started my dividend portfolio quite late as I was chasing "growth" previously

Only really started focusing on dividends in the last 3 years or so
Dividend is Psychologically better than growth.
And don't have to have all growth or all dividends. Can have both portfolio.

With combination of ur cash savings, and follow by ur cpf payouuts, then including passive income, if any

technically can tong with cash savings alone from 55 till 65, then draw from FRS, if really want to retire

but from then on, have to live within a budget of ard $2k from 55 till 65, then from 65 collect FRS monthly payout of ard $1.7k

but at least a basic safety net is established
not planning to retire at all.

yah, work until die.

Seriously, many young sinkies will tell you: depends when parents pass on and when get inherit parents' savings and investments. The earlier they go, the earlier can retire lor!

Some old Sinkies also hope to lorry up earlier, so that they can leave more money for the children to retire early.

Depends on mindset bah

When younger, growth is more attractive with 3x or more returns

But now older, anything with decent >5% yield is good hahah

Ya, I got a mix of both all along but last time, dividends were good to have, not essential
