I simply delete all emails for surveys unless they pay me. I don't fill up surveys for free. It's a waste of my time.

i told them the same thing when they asked why i was leaving the fam....

(they actually asked directly, was i going to eight. ignored the question, just as they ignored my questions on the porting out "complications")

was on Vivifi 4G before porting to eight, underground MRT/certain areas in CBD- even my GOMO 5G (work line) has the same deadzone as vivifi 4G so totally no data at all. Thus, diversified to eight (tho really wanted to give zero1 a chance but their CS is worse than Vivifi lol)

thanks for confirming that it is really singtel infra, causing the same problems in (my case) singtel postpaid and gomo, and the other singtel-infra based MVNOs.

singtel really needs to improve their game.

They will ask you to purchase 5G express pass instead. I saw a post reply in singtel thread, feedback about tiong bahru mrt to outram park network lousy, singtel said the infrastructure there is shared. You may purchase 5G express pass...:ROFLMAO:

now only got parent's pre-paid cards left, slowly using up main balance. once done, will port out. then its' bye singtel.

Hi all. I’m new to eight. Signed up for free 88 days (free line) to try out and am happy with the service. I plan to port over my main Changi Mobile number (main line) when the billing cycle ends on 7 Oct. Had originally wanted to port over my Changi Mobile line to the free line but was told it was not possible at the service centre. Hence the plan now is to sign up a new line with port in, and let the free line lapse.

I just learnt that there’s a $8 free $8 top up promo which ends 30 Sep. Question is if I top up $8 to my main balance now to take advantage of the promo, will I be able to use the balance for my new line (main line) which I will sign up later on 4 Oct? Do all lines share the same wallet, or is the wallet balance mobile line-specific?

Thanks in advance.

my understanding is, the wallet is tied to your number (i may be wrong). If i am not wrong, then the balance in the current free line will evaporate when you terminate it.

if you intend to port in your main line AND you want to enjoy the 8+8 promotion, and you want minimum down time, best to port in earlier before end of sep, just in case of any unforeseen hiccups.

its a balance between enjoying more of the current free line while still paying for your current telco, vs less free line, but being "compensated" with an additional $8/free month. See what works out best for you.

i have not done this personally. Based on posts I’ve read, it takes a day or two (quite fast) if the ownership records are in order. Hence it’s important that your ownership details as registered in SIMBA is identical to your EIGHT registration. Note there are other requirements like no outstanding bill. And if you took up a golden number which you’ve not fully paid, you’ll also be liable for charges.

Is your SIMBA SIM still active?

If yes, you might need to sort out with SIMBA.
If no, the issue is with eight.
yes still active on simba
have sent an email to them to check, which will take them 1 day to reply :s13:

UPDATE: eight responded to my emails this morning and they retriggered the port in. abt an hour later, got an SMS from them with the same error message. anyway found out that for circles life this is the procedure if u want to port out
-contact 8808 6868 and give them your DOB, full name and so on
-then go to your circles life app,tap on settings then security and turn off secureme
-port out procedure should be successful after that
will update again if there are any more hiccups or if port in is successful

i can't remember which thread i saw it, perhaps the circles thread, that the app has a setting to "lock" the account and prevent port-out.

it was reported that you have to first disable this setting before initiating porting out.
this is true. its in the settings>security>secureme
secureme has to be switched off, else port out of circles will fail
