I no longer have simba physical sim card so can’t check anymore

BUT i have done everything I could. Some users’ also say must use simba voice app to make calls.
1. APN - checked
2. VoLTE settings - checked but dun have. See quote that i am attaching in this reply.
I see. Thats strange. Then like what others mentioned have to use simba voice app. Alternatively ask simba for help since your phone is supported volte in their list.

Same collected on 19 may, still got signal.

Not sure why got one earlier post said signal cutoff
Got signal, just cannot call, no data. But can receive eight OTP to login eight Account, and occasionally received eight sms asking me to topup to $8 plan.

Same able to receive sms and otp from other coys, line not yet cutoff

Also does the transfer of ownership in circles is only for initial port in? Perhaps that explains why I cant do it now.

Thanks for the email.

The account will be dormant after the 60 days grace period.

If I interpret correctly, the number will not be terminated, so I can just revive the $8 plan everytime I go overseas to enjoy roaming.

Meanwhile, I can use other telcos plan to use for local data.
from what i hv gathered here in this forum and eight website, lets say your plan ($0, $8 or $18) expires on 1st oct and you dont recharge, eight will cut your data on 2nd oct onwards, but u will still b able 2 receive notifications from apps, just no internet for 60 days. your ported in line will not be terminated during these 60 days. but from the 61st day onwards, they will terminate your line. how many days after the 60 days are up that im unsure. will they send an email or sms (final notice before they chop the line) that too im unsure. hopefully someone may chime in.

I just wanted to tell you in the previous reply that I have checked and done everything, gave up as simba is not supported. Not worth discussing anymore whether i got put wrong setting. Anyway, how complex is an iPhone har?
if i can get heya to have VoLTE, what are other settings i need to tweak LOL. It is what it is, cannot is cannot 🙅

I remembered distinctly iphone 7/7+ wasn't supported by TPG when the service was rolled out. So I can't use voice services until they roll out the App. I'm not sure what's the status now. The numbers have been ported out quite some time ago. But let's go back to Eight. :D

Digging back my old post for an update: -

Previously I collected the free 88 days SIM card on 19 May 2024.

Today is 18 Oct 2024 and the number of days is 152 days after 19 May 2024.

So counting back - 88 days free and 60 days grace period and 4 days (after 60 days grace period).

I still can receive eight OTP when I login the eight account.

So my free line still not yet terminated. Will monitor until the day I cant receive eight OTP.
very helpful info. tq. rite now its day #8 of 60 for me:coffee: no incoming/outgoing calls. still able to receive OTP and app notifications

Ok. Let me share my experience for my 3 ported numbers. All the 3 numbers i select the service center or pickup point as my preference.

No.1 no issue
No.2 issues with eight porting. Resolved by service center reporting. And confirmed withc circles.life no secure me is on.
No.3 wrong detail submitted for porting so have to cancel the sim and reapply new card and port in. Now settled.

All 3 is settled with the service center. You can also settle through email but it takes a while longer. But either service center or email still have to wait for the person at the backend to settle for you. No gurantee go service center immediate they will resolve. So up to you to decide to go down or not. For now i am happy no issues with eight.
where is the service center?
how is the line signal? same as GIGA?

No operator support baked into the modem firmware or xarrier config file lo. That's all.
Big 3 usually have support, have some clout

Does anyone knows for esim signup, does the activation (billing cycle) starts from signup date or when the esim is scanned into the phone ?

Just to check , if I am overseas, can I receive calls from SG? If so, it is consider as IDD calls and will deduct from the IDD mins right?

Update from my application yesterday and eight seem faster than simba (compare to my mainline) at AMK.

Applied new port line 11am
Collect SIM card 12pm
Activate immediately
Line port from My Republic to eight during midnight.
