Actually Ah Beng shops patterns are decades old, just that Eight is openly denying their misdeeds.

People who are still saying Eight has no customer service are going to eat their words.

eight is just one of their product they help sell. They still got singtel prepaid, starhub, m1 prepaid, heya, simba, geenet and circles. Moreover, their core product is still the mobile phone, accessories and repairs.

I expect these bengz shops to continue smoke people. People who walk in, and since they are there, they will just pay. Just remember to avoid the 2 bengz lianz shops at Boon Lay Shopping Centre.

Unfortunately the target customers that are catered for purchase at retail shops instead of online application are the elderlies and foreign workers. These people can easily be taken advantage of.

They may not even know that not supposed to pay more than $8.

For us it is just one time. Imagine they every mth go to shop to topup and charged extra.

M1/SH/ST's ripping off at least contributes to GST and shareholders. Ah beng's ripping off contributes to more PMDs that knock down elderly on footpaths and coe conti cars that drive like initial D on the roads.

That's why competition is good.

But a lot of people not familiar dare not go to MNVO or newer telcos.

Took me many years before I took the plunge. Ever since then I have been recommending friends and relatives.
