When you do manual (re)activation due to auto-recharge not turned on previously, you'll have to choose which plan you want.

Life will be much easier if you take the time to read through their FAQ under the Help option.

Correct.

A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.

After three set of Huawei Mate 20X reset to factory settings ,
Never installed SIM card from StarHub or M1 or Singtel after factory reset.
After factory reset, Huawei required a SIM card to activate the phone.
only one set of phones received the StarHub firmware update when the 8 mobile SIM card was activated.

There is no way to duplicate your situation.
Is it because your SIM cards are from MNO, my 8 mobile SIM card is a MVNO ?
or
maybe, you bought your phone directly from Huawei with no telco firmware locked ?

My Mate20X never needed a SIM card to activate. My Mate20X was a StarHub Set with 2 years contract years ago. Purchased directly from StarHub. I did factory reset quite a few times for the Mate20X already.

Take note, when the update was prompted, I did not update it. Just by replacing the SIM Card to a SIMBA SIM Card, will automatically remove the update prompt. Never tried with Singtel SIM Card.

Can't seem to enable VoLTE when roaming on KT and SKT network in South Korea.

KT and SKT will drop to 3G when making calls.

how to know if the current simba is prepaid or postpaid as it looks like prepaid can be ported over to eight?
While doing topup, it shows the following as plan type: does this mean i can portover?

You have chosen to perform topup for 8XXXXXXX
Recharge Amount : $20
Plan Type: POSTPAID

SIMBA probably doesn’t offer any custom profiles for their SIM. These are not firmwares. These are OTA updates for network parameters and applications etc.

On Johor remote forest small road now. Just switch on auto roaming no need other setting and eight get good celcom connection. While simba maxis only emergency call.
Simba's Malaysia partner network is Celcom, and Eight's Maxis and U Mobile...

How is Eight network in general usage in Singapore and Roam in Malaysia? Would there be any problem to port out from Eight to other Telco in the future?

I think no single mvno is good enough. If your phone support 2 sim cards. Try all mvnos and choose 2 different company mvnos which is good for your daily route and you are all covered for maybe below $18.

IMHO.
The best combo could be Eight pair with Simba - Celcom, Maxis and U Mobile. :ROFLMAO:

Locally, for me, Eight much much faster than Simba. Eight lose out to Singtel MVNO.
