worked in NL, Greece, Turkey, Italy.
Not all support VoLTE/voice calls, but not a problem as i use VoIP apps.
you can check the covered countries in eight website.

When you’re connected to a roaming carrier that still offers 2G or 3G service it’s possible that your phone will take advantage of it at least for limited purposes — notably for receiving SMS text messages.

Simba can upsize till 2TB local data and yet most ppl won't use most of the quota. My 700GB monthly I don't even get to use 1gb, mostly just data roaming and IDD calls lol.

Anyone tried roaming with 8 in Europe before?

Will be going to Germany, Austria and Italy later this year.

Previously was using M1 data passport and it was all good for Europe, Japan, Korea,Malaysia.

If I remember correctly, SIMBA mobile line cannot do hotspot, unlike Eight.

This was probably during TPG era, now all can hotspot already.

Simba all along can Hotspot, since trial time, if I remember correctly.

SIMBA can hotspot just that one needs to disable "Use Network Provider Settings" for iOS 17 (not sure about above iOS 17).

i think it's still there even with Simba. It's a very weird issue only with IOS devices. You need to separately add APN for hotspot to enable the hotspot settings. My friend who switch to simab recently had to do that.

yes. Only for iphone, APN need to do manually, separately for hotspot and mobile data

running Simba hotspot at home, it is much better than Eight .

Just make it SOP to set APN for all options once, after activating Simba SIM card. Simple as that.

Yes, you are correct.
Same physical Sim, when I use my Pixel 7, hotspot option is available straight away. When insert into IPhone 16, need to manually setup APN before hotspot option is available.

My apologies, I didn’t know.that. I’ve never used SIMBA except during their TPG launch when they gave 4 SIM cards per NRIC. I have already informed my uncle of this, and yes, he’s using iPhone. Thanks all for correcting my mistake!
