Eight is amazing, now maxx is in trouble!

? I was with Eight about 3 months ago and there was no 5G. I did not know they launched recently.

I was not aware that Eight has 5G. I am not following all the telco updates and I am no longer with them, so can't check if the 5G Standalone option is now enabled.

I went to their website, don't seem to see any 5G stuff.

Android users see this option all along. My phone has 5G Standalone option on, even though my plan wasn't on 5G.

I wonder is real if he has to share the SIM status screen shot or using networkcell info

networkcellinfo from the Field Test Mode will likely show StarHub.

I am no longer with Eight, that's why I am surprised that they have 5G now if the screenshot is right.

Even if you select 5G Auto or 5G On in the past, it just shows 4G. But the screenshot showing enabled 5G SA is something new. But the screenshot was also cropped to hide the actual status bar. Need to confirm with others. But I think in SG, eight might still be receiving 4G signal only.

That screenshot is misleading. He/She turns on 5G does not mean he/she will get 5G.

So what's VoNR? Can hear your aura, hear the bass, treble? Or hear voice on Dolby Atmos?

On a serious note, the only real improvement is lower latency, faster call setup time and performs better under very heavy load conditions.

My number ported in successfully this morning too. But then, iMessage activated as u described. But I can’t receive the OTP from Eight. How did u manage to login ?

same. I had this same issue now as well.

my no just got ported yesterday. But no OTP received when I tried to login to eight portal. Typed in my no, and clicked to receive OTP to login but no SMS received.

then passkey login method no longer worked becos it was with my eight temporary no when I signed up eight but now no ported over the temperary no no more.

yes this is what showed in my eight eSIM’s voice and data page on my iPhone while previous vivifi esim does not show that.
