personally i had tried all sort of different situations in bolehland.

while roaming:
call lion city = free
call bolehland no = free

i dun see any sign of VoLTE when i make calls in bolehland. be it roam to celcomdigi, maxis or u mobile.

no extra charges at all, still sgd8 no matter how i call.

Haha, I want to try different networks and Eight (StarHub network, StarHub subsidiary) is my first choice, specifically the cheaper Eight S$8 per month plan. Then maybe later I wil try M1 Maxx and lastly SIMBA.

I am already using SingTel SIM Only as my main number (and currently the only number), so I am not interested in Singtel based MVNOs as well as SingTel's Gomo/Heya sub-brand.

on sgd8 since ported to eight. no issue with 4G. travel around lion city also never encounter any blindspot so far.

on mrt the internet connection is also ok.

Eight is not a good choice to compare with Singtel 4G, eight has a lower QCI than Starhub MNO and imo Eight is heavily throttled at times.

i used vivifi, zym previously, i would say that eight compare to them (4G) not too bad. totally ok.

i switched to eight now and am happy with it.

i also recommended to quite a no of my friends they are also happy with it, especially the price.

I signed up eight at launch and back then it was good. really fast and coverage was good. but recently last few weeks i realised the speed become like less than 1mb. then at amk, bishan, tpy and orchard train station always cannot load. one particular spot near amk hub when i cross the bridge, got signal but no data.

even when i sat at the void deck under my block, speed became like intermittent to less than 1mbps

amk hub & amk mrt station singtel 4G & NVMO speed still ok. because everyday i pass by amk MRT & Bus int

Wah, you never go collect ah.
Last I recall the delivery cui one, cause more problem instead. West side got quite some collection points one IIRC.

Good point. I probably made the wrong choice. Let's see how it goes.

BTW, my Poco X7 Pro does not support eSIM.

For your reference, here is more information about eSIM:

I signed up for Eight S$8 4G plan to carry out some testing on StarHub 4G network. Later I can upgrade the plan to Eight S$14.8 5G plan to test StarHub 5G network.

I may try out M1 Maxx 5G and SIMBA 5G later as well in year 2026.

Nothing mission critical here as the purpose is to try out non-Singtel mobile networks in Singapore. My main number is Singtel SIM Only, so I do not want to try Gomo/Heya and SingTel MVNOs.

BTW, my backup plan for the main Singtel SIM Only plan (in case no more promotion) was SingTel Gomo, and then StarHub Giga (Heya only 4G, Eight previously also only 4G). Now Eight is my preferred choice as it is cheaper, under StarHub and has 5G offerings.
