Probably 2nd and 3rd months free.

Hmm, noticed it says 3GB Intl Roaming... anyone on the $8 plan already seeing 3GB in their eight dashboard?

Anyway, yes, you pay for the first month and it stacks in two extra free months into your subscription.

usually you have to pay first then enjoy the free months .. read their T&C https://www.eight.com.sg/help/promotions/

What is this promotion about?

Switch to eight – Telecom Company of the Year – by porting in your number to any of our mobile plans and get 2 months FREE, or sign up for a brand new number and get 1 month free! Yes, really. No catch. Just perks. The free month(s) will be based on the plan you signed up for. – e.g.
  • if you purchased the $14.80 Lucky Eight plan, the 2 free months will be stacked on Month 2 and 3
  • if you purchased the 1-Year Lucky Eight Eight plan, the 2 free months will be stacked on Month 13 and 14.
Thanks all.. just collected my sim-card waiting for port in

while eight if change new phone must request for new QR to transfer the eSIM, is there any other MVNO supports direct transfer of eSIM between iPhones with the built-in eSIM transfer function on iPhone?

wonder if eight will support it in future. Even bolehland telcos support it.

I am existing user, my $8 plan recently renewed after they announced the free upsize is 2GB int roaming only. while APC is 12GB.

Reinstall eSIM:
Zym - 5x free, $10.90 replacement
Vivifi/Zero1 - 3x free, $5.45 replacement
Gomo/Singtel Hi - unlimited free, replacement $???
Giga - $1.00 each time
Eight - single use onl, Free replacement in-store.

For Eight must go in person to their stores to request for new eSIM (I believe the others do not). Also Eight eSIM cannot be activated overseas (the others all can). If you lose your phone overseas you must come back to SG to get a new eSIM!

Ic. Thanks for sharing. Then in terms of replacement fee, at least eight is quite generous.

if one time need to go to store to get replacement is not too bad. Since most ppl do not change phone so often as well. my recent iPhone change is after 3.5 years later. I just hope that they can soon support direct iPhone transfer of eSIM then will be perfect.

if one lost the physical sim overseas also cannot replace overseas rite? So eSIM for other MVNOs can do something differently that one can just request for replacement and activate overseas? Considered quite cool.
But to be fair, lost of phone is not so commonly happen, again so not need to use the judging criteria when deciding which MVNO to use.

Hi guys… any idea if face id works for the eight app? I go face id settings, other apps, don’t see eight in the list. I log in via otp and try to register biometrics, also didn’t show face id option.

you need to create a passkey, faceid can be used by your passkey manager.

Anyone ported out during grace period before? Submitted before plan expiry, but new telco delay, now plan is in grace period. Port out rejected.

Customer support reply is super slow. They said that port out is not supported during grace period and I must recharge just to port out. Nothing in FAQ and CIS states this…

Technically someone else can pick up a physical SIM for you as long as that person can show your physical NRIC and otherwise has permission.

...But (for example) Eight is not a great choice for a student studying abroad who's prone to loss or theft of their phone.
