That is max value
Did anyone explicitly ask the CS if end of 88 days after port in, can just switch to $8 plan?
In case they come up with some scummy T&C like saying from $0 plan can only switch to $18 plan or something lol
If they pull out this kind then I can always port to other MVNO. Not like last time locked in to contract for 2 years.

U R NOT ALONE... I Also.
port in yester 10.30am
I signed up for port in yesterday via their website at 10am, collected my new card around 11:30am.

at 11:00pm, my old sim from heya shows no signal. Then I pop in the new eight sim card with the temp number then I go and sleep. Wake up 5am, already ported over coz my OTP works with old number. No sms, no email no nothing to inform me.

Overall the experience quite alright and fuss free, I have no negative given that it's $0 plan.

let us know tomorrow!
Mine. Ported in yesterday (Wednesday) early morning before office hours.

Received termination text from previous service provider just before midnight.

Now just logged in to Eight with old number, got OTP. 👍

Just received the email on the details for termination

Whats-App-Image-2024-07-09-at-19-19-52.jpg

Have replied to them
Update on the above: -

Didnt receive any reply yesterday morning, but I managed to initiate a port in (online on the $8 plan) of my SIMBA line (currently used by my son), which is strange.

Then realised have to go Service Centre to collect the SIM card (sign up and port in online).

Hence, went down to Lucky Plaza around 6 plus (after work).

So the Service Centre is actually a booth in a mobile phone shop. Was attended to by a helpful and friendly lady.

Asked her why there was no reply on the termination of the free SIM plan. She mentioned could be their backend quite overwhelmed.

Anyway, she helped to terminate the free SIM plan immediately and activated the temporary number for the $8 plan.

Then yesterday night (11pm) SIMBA send me email saying my line terminated, then today 1am, my number was port in to eight.

TLDR: for asap termination of free SIM and port in SIM card collection, go to the Service Centre (Ubi or Lucky Plaza).

My experience below:

I went over to Eight service centre UBI at around 6pm today (surprisingly no queue) to port in from GOMO sim only plan (I am a new GOMO customer for just 1 week) to $8 Eight plan.
I had previously signed up for 2x $0 Eight plan and was told that I need to cancel 1 line in order to port in.
1 line cancelled on the spot and the staff issued a new sim card to me with temporary number.
Total took me 15 min as I asked a lot of questions, I paid the service centre $8 cash on the spot. Will follow up with a reply here on how long it takes to port over successfully. As of 9pm today, both my existing GOMO and the temporary Eight number are working.

Some pointers from the staff:
- the old sim card for the Eight $0 plan cannot be reused as it is tagged to that $0 plan. Port-in numbers in this case will receive a new sim card.
- it is better to top up instead of using credit card for recurring payment (not sure why though), and the staff gave me a name card with paynow and Whatsapp number to top up.
- if you are a new customer in your existing telco, make sure to check if there are any penalties if you port out within 30 days of new sign up, like Simba with its $30 penalty.
- the staff will also check your current existing telco's billing cycle, if the next renewal cycle is in 1 day's time, very likely the port over will fail and it is at your own risk (i.e. to settle with old telco and wasting $8 to use temporary number until next cycle).

Hope this helps in any way, and I will reply here once my number successfully port over from GOMO to Eight.
Port in successful as of 7am today, my gomo not working as of 11pm last night.
Sms, call, and network working currently, although the network speed is slower than giga 4g when tested in same location, will test again elsewhere/ on different phone.
And for any new Gomo users porting over to eight, yes it works and there are no penalties for "new user port out" for gomo.

Hi I login to my account but seems like all options are grey out and not able to select.

Do I need to wait for a few days to access the options in Myaccount?

Today is the 3rd day since I signed up for the free 88 days plan with eSim (new line). However still not able to select any options in my account. No issue in logging in to my account.

Have drop an email to eight for this issue.
